What do you think of what's going to happen at Victorville in S Cali. I was there a few weeks ago and it's a racy 3/8th.
First!!!! We want to remind all 360's of the added Sunday Night Sept. 4th "Labor Day Weekend" Open Comp Show...No Tech but Safety...No Tire Rule..No Fuel Rule, basic 360 Block..."Run what you Brung"
In a attempt to increase Car counts, and to see if Driver Ability, and Tuning skills of 360's, can over come the Horsepower of the mighty 410's...."VRP" is proud to announce Sat. Oct. 1st, the "UNDERDOG NATIONALS". This is a Open 410-360 Show, where a 360 can "Run what they Brung", where the kicker is that if a 360 can win this event there is a $1,500 (Dollar) Bonus...Making the Win Money for a 360 $3,000 (Dollars) to win....The regular pay-out is posted at www.victorvilleracewaypark.com Will we see Wild Fuel Mixtures, or Big Name drivers jumping back into a 360's, or will the New Generation of 410's hold off the "Underdogs"...."VRP" is a 3/8 Track where Driver ability can overcome additional Horsepower of the 410's....This will be a "On the edge of your seat" fun event. The only rule is that there must be 10 410's entered in the main event, not to make it just a 360 Show......All drivers from Arizona, or over 350 miles away will get Free Car, Driver and one Crew Member entry FREE to help cover Travel Cost. We would appreciate all teams that plan on attending to e mail us at [email protected] Let the DEBATE begin!!! Can a 360 with some tricks, whip up on a 410......Sat. Oct. 1st....The "Underdog Nationals" "VRP", where we just want to Race and have some Fun!!!!!!
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Interesting idea. If they just made the tires hard as a rock they wouldn't have to worry about the cubic inch limit on any of them, though.

Does Huset's still have its once a year, 'cheaters night'? I remember being in the pits with Marlon Jones' Billion car for a cheaters night(1996?) They couldn't afford to cheat but ended up with their best finish of the year that night, ironic.

It doesn't matter how hard the tires are a 325lb aluminum motor is always gonna get on the tires easier/better than a steel block 360 motor ,,

I see that someone has never heard of wheel spin. It's a simple concept.

Why doe's it have to be a steel block 360? There are aluminium block 360's out there.

According to Kevin Eckert, they run it all the time
in Indiana.
" Want another reason why Indiana is
superior? There are no rules. Sprint cars can use big
blocks,
nitromethane, nitrous oxide, traction control,
titanium or whatever."

Interesting concept. Nice to have plain old sprint car racing instead of so many different classes. My only concern for your show would be the purse breakdown. It might be difficult to get guys to do crazy things with their cars or even show up if all of the money is at the very top. Jeff Swindell whooped the All Stars a few years ago with a 360, it is definitely possible!

From the look of the rules you could run an aluminum 360 but I doubt anyone is gonna build or buy one for a race that pays s cpl grand to win , and they don't run aluminum 360's on dirt in California , still sounds like a cool race to check out though

I think they still have it, it doesn't seem like much "cheating" really goes on anymore though. Back in the day the teams used to go all out. I remember somebody (Kenny Hanson?) brought a huge wing out. It was about twice as wide as a standard size wing. Most of the cars had tail fins made of plexiglass above the tailtanks and other aero enhancements. Even the late models got in on the action and would borrow wings and run them on the roofs of their cars. It was a pretty cool show.
I'm not sure if there are more rules or if it's not worth the money or effort but not many guys seem to be doing unique out there anymore. I haven't been to Cheater's Day for a while so who knows what it's like now.

One thing their trying to do, and what I think we need to do, is bring the hot rod mentality that we had back into the game. That along with bringing the cost down and car count back up. Actually I think it should read 360, and smaller. You have to know someone's going to run some nitro, and I can see the flames coming out of the exhaust already..http://www.hoseheadforums.com/forum.cfm?ThreadID=58876
We also have a open comp race here in AZ, but the open part is lacking in my opinion.
