Lap Leaders: Massey 1-14, 30; Franz 15-29
Massey started on the pole and used the bottom of the track the whole race to stay into the lead before eighth starting Franz used the high-line to get passed him on lap fifteen.....Looked several times as though Franz would walk away with the win as he was hooked up top but Massey kept working the bottom til the end. Franz looked to have a comfortable lead with two laps to go as he had about an eight car length advantage, but on the last lap, Franz hooked a rut and lost momentum allowing Massey to drive underneath him down the backstretch. The two were side by side entering turn three but Massey stuck on the bottom and out ran Franz to the checkerd flag by one car length for the victory, his first ever with NCRA.

Wonder why Brandon Kenny didn't pull over from Woodward ? Every time I have seen him run he can really put it around the track..

there were quite a few that weren't there that I (and others) thought would have been. But in the end it was a darn good show and I thought I got what I paid for.
Dogwater said somthin about a USMTS show up north so maybe some drivers from the area went there........

NCRA has a different tire rule. They run I think a A-40 Hoosier which is like a front sprint car tire. You can still run a IMCA Hoosier but I don't think you will be competitive.

that coupled in with what most consider vacation time (Memorial weekend) makes a little more sense. I thought the 15$ admission was a bit steep, but the fans got treated to some good races and a great finish.
Ahhhhhhh, whereas you're always around the sprinters you will always be a mod guy at heart eh? lol. Have you ever made it out to the big Batesville mod race?
