A good friend of mine came up to Santa Maria from the Long Beach area last Saturday to watch his very first dirt track show and shot some photos to grow his portfolio. Kid got some very good shots.
Congrats to Austin Williams on the win. Was a great time all night!

Some of those are pretty good. I especially like the last one posted here. Maybe a little tighter framing, but that comes with practice.

Thanks for the very kind words. He is in the process of buying better flashes and camera products but he captures some good stuff anyway. He amazes me for sure.
That picture was taken on the run as I already pushed him out of the way. He will surely be back to a dirt track soon. Again, thanks for the kind words.

When I have some time, I am going to try and get over to his site and pass along a couple of pointers that I have found helpful. I believe that I met him during the feature, if he was the one using the stand in turn 2. One thing that I would pass along is that a better lens is more important than a better camera. . . . . .

Yes, we were in turn 2 for the mains. I believe he is looking at a few lens' and flashes. I think he had mentioned talking to someone when we were over there. Must have been you.
