hot damn I love non-winged sprint car racing. Or as Travis Rilat told me tonight "there is sprint car racing and winged sprint car racing."
While there were only 21 cars, just to see the drivers finesse behind the wheel, battling each other and lapped cars, is just a thing of beauty. I would love to go to Indiana Sprint Speedweek but I don't think they have depends thick enough to handle me.
And my annual trip up the Northwest Passage was once again pleasant, this time with a full moon up above. And Woodwards K-101.1 Country station - beats anything this city has to offer (Jake FM comes close).
And for those wondering, Estes is doing fine and loving every minute of it. Hell he even put me to work for thirty minutes. Tommie is definately one of the better guys in racing and as a person. Stated only 374 paid Friday night. That place was damn near packed tonight.

Sounds like Dodge City was a great show. It's amazing how 21 wingless cars can entertain you for a night.
Gotta agree with Travis Rilat on the two kinds of sprint car racing. Enjoyed the winged cars for years and appreciate the drivers skill, but my favorite racing is done without wings.

David, you mentioned facebook on here..
Are you a memeber of the group"You know you are from Midwest City If......"
Pretty neat old nostalgic stuff on there about Midwest City life back in the 70"s & 80's.

mjm, nope didn't know anything about it. After living here since 1969 I am looking hard at living this city and all that it has become. Just isn't the same and getting worse.
Might have to check that out as boy I have memories as I am sure others from here do as well.

i was 1 of the first born in MWC Hospital,in 1966 & my Dad moved us to Choctaw in '71 .
Trust me, the same can be said about cities further out, too. All have their faults.
No everywhere can be Knoxville, IA.,UNFORTUNATELY
