Not gonna happen. Speed channel has the rights and will air it in a couple of weeks.

Once again, Knoxville shows it true attitude toward sprint car racing fans. If you're going to televise the first three nights, then you should finish the job.
BTW...how's attendance been so far?

The radio portion should be on KNIA/KRLS (google it) or on dirt vision.

Yeah its pretty much a joke that Knoxville cant cover the video portion tonight, basically because of the Speed Channel. Even if they charged for it people would buy. Its dumb and to answer the question about attendance from the looks of things the last three nights it looked pretty poor to me.

i do not blame them for not allowing live video, live video does hurt attendance, my friends there have said wed not real low but the smallest thursday by far .
i would bet that WOO, Speed and whoever else is paying for the tape delayed broadcast insisted as part of the $$$$$ deal that the main events be blocked, hell football has had block outs many times for many years
i knnow last week there was several thousand sat seats available yet too

How does it hurt attendance ? Ive never understood that. Its obvious to me that people watching cannot make it to the track, or cant afford to be at the track, maybe ur brain cant comprehend that nor can Speed or Knoxville. Speed's a joke anyways. It should be Live on Speed like it has been for the last few years anyways. Sorry not really interested in watching a race that happened two weeks ago when you already know the winner. Dumb. Charge money for a live Internet stream if ur that worried about it. Id pay 30-40 bucks to watch it from home.

I suspect none of the complainers in this thread has his ass in the seats for any of the 4 days.
If you don't go.... don't bitch about the attendance, you are part of the problem.

i have seen people camping next to me in a prevost motorhome across the street from the track opt out of going to the saturday race and watch it on live TV verses dealing with the crowd, I have known of more than 50 people gatered around campers less than 30 miles from track watching races when on live, and most of these people attended wed and thursday nights races
so what part of that can my brain comprehend?

Well theres also a lot of people, me for one being ten hours away that cant make it. Id Love to be there but answer me something. If your going to show the first three nights live on the net, why not show the night that means everything ? Does it make sense to you ? Speed chose not to show it live, why should we wait for that, when we cant make it to the track ? It doesnt have to be free. Knoxville could still make money from it. Charge 20-30 bucks its not hard to figure out, Im sure there would be a ton of people that would pay for it.

most of the time the final answer is about money, so evidently there is more $$$$ for or savings to not broadcast it live this year with the speed deal
and to be clear I am not complaining as if it were my track I would even ban the live audio unless they pay $$$$, this is the first nationals main event night I have missed since 1980

I wonder how many of us purchased Turn 2 Video this week. I did last Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday and would tonight.
As far as live video hurting attendence.....Probably, but I did watch on my TV through the internet and somebody got $56 out of me for the races that would have gotten nothing without it. I simply do not have the time to go so it's this or nothing.

Speed channel sucks, If I want to see a race I will fly down from Anchorage and watch it, been to 6 Outlaw races this year, work does have a factor on which races I can attend, Chico will be my next one which is nice because I have family there, had plans for Knoxville but sometimes work has to come first, (BUMMER) that's the problem with this Country people expecting something for nothing.

I bet you are correct about someone having on youtube by morning. My two cents on the whole TV thing is if its not live don't bother. I think having a live broadcast is only gonna help reach a bigger audience and judging by the attendance, they could use some help. Not to many people besides the die hards are interested in watching a race that happened weeks ago.
