Turd Mac. Its unfortunate that the 55 wasn't damaged beyond repair as a result of his poor choice of racing tactic. Stevie, always a professional made lemonade out of lemons and had a respectable finish after the initial incident and having to start from the rear again after the 2nd caution for his nose wing.

Didn't McCarl jump the start anyway? Stevie was 3rd at the flagstand...

I think they have a special invisible cone for special people at Kville when it comes to starts.
Recall the Purple Brian Brown car passing two rows of cars on the bottom prior to the start a few years ago.
Glad to see nobody got hurt...but McCarl's driving is a real piece of work when he realizes his car is a boat anchor in the early laps of any race...
let's see...it looks like he is starting behind his son and beside Schatz in the Main...so the row behind him is in big trouble!

You could have borrowed $20 and watched it yourself, dang! Last I saw, Terry and his teenage son are starting in front of every single Posse Driver but Fast Freddie, lol.....

What kind of asshole records a broadcast with an external camera just to upload it to YouTube?
Bad form all around, if you're going to blatantly pirate at least get a capture card and do it right. Hope Turn 2 lays down the law.

Both McCarls are in the A.....home field advantage is everything so they should make it with no problem..right? Let's see..4 or 5 Knoxville regulars (being generous as only 2 I think are actually from Iowa), but what about all the big guns? A number are running non qualifier on their HOME track. Just sayin'...
That being said, glad to see a nice mix of drivers making the A and the Nationals not being dominated by the WoO. Observation, except for a few exceptions, draw for TT still pretty much makes or breaks your week. Should be a great B and A main Saturday night.

Sure did! Went about 2 carlengths before the line. Then when Stevie went to drive back around him, he moves up to pinch him into the wall. Typical T-bag, jump the start and when someone gets along side of you-move up and try to squeeze them out. That's about all I've ever seen him do.
Flagman Clark throws a yellow in the C-main for what looked like a decent start and then plays home favorites at the start of the A main which was obviously a bad start, go figure.

I don't see Doug ever playing favorites when it comes to McCarl. I doubt there is anyone Doug has sent to the rear more than Terry.

LOL, an anti-Terry guy spouting anti Terry crap, the Posse fan is not exclusive when it comes to whining. If that's all you've ever seen him do it's time to get a new dog and white cane....

You really think McCarl is a favorite of Doug Clark? HA! Yeah right man, Clark quit as the flagman for the FRC (the race Terry promotes) because Terry calling him out a few weeks back for a BS black flag!

Biggest race of the year and he clearly jumped and it wasn't called. For those that only come to Knoxville for Nationals, we don't really know or care what Doug calls on a weekly basis. We just want a fair race and that cost Stevie a spot in the A because there's no way McCarl would have been able to catch him (and take him out) if they started side by side. Oh well, what's done is done. Time to move on...
Hopefully Stevie transfers through the B and hauls in the A just like last year.

Yep would be nice to see another Okie turned Posse in. After all, it is his last year as Posse...

No doubt Terry jumped. Last week Dobmeier did less in a heat and was sent back a row to the benefit of All Star Shaffer. I also think Stevie starting on outside in the slick stuff made it look worse than it was. When it happened I expected Doug to throw the yellow and warn the front row (Terry) to be at the line together. Would have been harsh in my opinion to send him to the back.
No doubt Stevie will still transfer and likely start 21st in the A instead of 15th or 16th.

only one apologist in this thread qualifies for a dog and white cane...
one car left early on the initial start - 0:58 McCarl...crosses the chalk line at 1:00....windshield wiper blocking maneuver at 1:57.

Just watched the video of the crash.....Here's my $.02...I'm a big Stevie fan and have been since '83...my take on it without commenting on the start of the A. If you watch closely, 55 races the same line the previous lap clearing Stevie coming out of 4. They both run the same line the lap of the crash but this time Stevie is beside him thru 4 and onto the homestaright. My thought is 55 is watching his marks through 3 and off 4 and doesn't see Stevie coming up beside him and they were going for the same spot on the front straight......Hard racing at the Nationals!

Granted, it has been a decade since I have been to the Nationals. But that looked like a ton of empty seats on the backstretch, even for a prelim night show.
