I mean really...all I was stating was that Sammy will be on Knoxville this weekend and the weekend at Pevely looks rainy...good god people cant comprehend! If the Outlaws and Pevely could reschedule for a later(and better) date for the Ironman, Id like to see them run there this fall..say there in Oct. Might see a whole lot better car count and not near as hot so more people will come.

Considering recent history, wishing for a rainout at I-55 might be considered a bit distasteful. Think about it for a moment then go from there.
Hint: weather patterns that also contain rain.
I'm sure that your intentions were intended to be good but, you really should think this one through and maybe apologize.

Doesn't this guys mouth over run his a$$ most of the time I would bet the farm he probaly doesn't make it to a race to actually back up his remarks all the time. Would love to really meet him in person and decide if it's a mental issue or just plain old lack of knowledge

Do you really think this guy has any control over the weather patterns, and he should apoligize? That is totally ridiculous. The guy just wishes he could take in both races, lighten up,no need to be constantly looking for something stupid to come down on somebody for.

Pretty simple, If ya wanna see Sammy, gas up the Geo and head to Knoxville. If not, enjoy the Ironman.

From what I am told he could not afford a Geo. He is a late model man that is showing his hate for sprintcars on this and other forums. This is one of multiple threads on this and at least one other forum where he posts negative statements regarding sprintcar races.

I'm not hating on the guy. I'm simply pointing out where his comments may have been offensive to a few people. The people in that area have probably seen enough rain and weather for a lifetime considering the disaster that they went through earlier this year. Someone wishing rain on them at this point is a bit harsh. The people in that area that are race fans probably just want to see a good race no matter the car count ect. ect...

It takes a lot more than a "wish for rain" to offend people in the Show Me State. If you're talking about the Joplin tragedy, keep in mind that Joplin and Pevely are about 300 miles apart. Missouri is a big state full of tough folks, a little rain won't hurt them. Most of people I have talked to St. Louis recently, have said it is quite dry and they could use a little rain. If a little rain came through the St. Louis area and the Outlaws were left with no option but to travel to Knoxville.... That would be okay with me.
A September or October version of the Ironman 55 would get me in the gate at Pevely... and I bet Sammy would be there too.

OK, I had my geography out of sorts. Forgive me for that one.
But, wishing for a rain-out is still a bit douchey. What would it gain anyone involved? Maybe 2 or 3 rides that wouldn't have been there in the first place and a huge fuel bill with nothing in return for the teams would be there in the first place. Sure, that's the risk all race teams take but, that's no excuse to be happy about the inflicted pain at the gas-pump. Not to mention the costs to any of the fans that might be making a long trip to see the race.
Maybe I'm wrong in my thinking. Who knows? I just fail to see how any rain-outs can be a benefit to a sport that already struggles to keep it's head above water at times.

What does it pay to win Saturday night for the 360's. Saying that I wonder why Sammy would run Knoxville (other than getting some track time) rather than run I-55? He can win 10 Grand with a lot less cars to worry about. Not saying he cant win at Knoxville, it just doesnt seem as easy as it would to run a one day show at I-55. Sorry to interupt the debate on rain.

I'm thinking the more important thing is that he gets another night in the 410 to test/tune for the Nationals.

MoyerFan21, I was holding a ticket for you in the top row near the flagstand, but all of your Anti-I55 and Anti-WoO comments led me to decide to give the ticket to the first homeless person with a "Will Work for Food" sign. You probably would not fit in with my crowd anyway. As far as all of your better show at Knoxville comments, I will repeat the analogy that I often use - You can go watch the River City Rascals or the Gateway Grizzlies and you may see a decent baseball game, but it is not the same as watching Pujols, Molina, Holliday, Berkman, and the rest of that bunch. The only person worth watching at Knoxville this weekend will be Sammy, but the unfortunate thing is that he and Rocky will only be good for a lot of drama, and you can get that by watching your favorite TV show. Just stay at home and watch your Oprah reruns. Thanks for playing.

It saddens me when people are just World of Outlaw fans and not sprint car fans.
You're welcome to go to any show you want and support any series you want be it World of Outlaws, All Stars, ASCS, PA Posse, Ohio, Knoxville locals, etc., but please respect the drivers no matter their affiliation and don't say they aren't worth watching, because if you are a sprint car fan they most certainly are.
Saying Sammy is the only driver worth watching this weekend at Knoxville is laughable and disrespectful to the drivers.
