What does everyone think the car count will be for Pevley this weekend??? I know the Outlaw regulars will be there, as well as a few locals... And of course T-Mac, Swindell, and Lasoki won't make the trip, but will any of the Posse drivers make the trip??? Just curious... Don't know why Pevley won't change their dates to the week after the Nationals, or towards the end of the season where they would get a much better draw from fans and drivers...

I remember when that weekend was the HBO show @ Eldora, then everyone would move on to Iowa.... too bad Napcar started the Brickyard on that same day... killed the crowd......

Tony: "That means your at a real racetrack"

Was thinking about going but dont really think there is going to be much of a car count. Not a huge number last year and that was a two day show. I am thinking other than regulars you just arent going to see that many. I really hate it because last years event was great.

I honestly don't know any big name drivers that are headed there besides the obvious WoO guys. Even the part-time Outlaws, Madsen and Swindell, are in Knoxville. Terrible scheduling...

If i was off i would be heading to knoxville without a doubt. The car count in 2 classes 360 and 410 will be big. Even with Dollansky winning a lot this year and always fast at I-55 it would still be no contest. Sorry I-55 but this race needs to moved.

I would bet you get 40 cars. They get 20 for a weekly show at St Francois and there will be another 15 "Outlaw" followers.
No matter what, Peveley and the Outlaws is a great show. It is a part of the "month of money". What they really need to do is continue to grow the show and the purse. You guys all make it sound like they should just shut the WoO down and let everyone run Knoxville that Saturday. You are talking about tracks that are 5+ hours apart. There are PLENTY of fans and PLENTY of cars for there to be good shows at both tracks.

40 cars... are you crazy?
They had 42 and 38 cars for the inaugural event and 31 each night last year when the All-Stars were there.
Losing the All-Stars to Knoxville this year is going to hurt the car count, as well as only a 1-day show.
They'll probably pick up a hand full of PA guys at best (Smith, Dewease, Rahmer).
They'll get a great crowd and they're no such thing as a bad show at I-55, but don't expect 40 cars...

No PA guys, the ones that did leave went to Knoxville...everyone else is staying local one more week for the highest paying local event of the season.
I'll say upper 20's for car counts...and not one of the non-WoO drivers is competitve.

Not many drivers left within 200 miles of Pevely that do not have a big engine even though they also race some 360 races. MOWA has given more opportunities to run 410's in the area. The two things that will keep MOWA (&Jacksonville) and Farmington drivers away are that many of them do not have flat top wings and secondly, MOWA is mostly a Hoosier series and Farmington runs harder compound Goodyears than the Outlaws usually run. Pevely is a big engine track, a 360 would look really weak there.
