Cowtown Speedway 8/5: 7 Classes of Racing, J-Rays Car Bash

Kennedale, TX (8/1/11) by DarinShort.com. Over 100 race teams converged upon Cowtown Speedway for last Friday night’s racing program along with an enthusiastic crowd in the grandstands. This coming Friday, August 5th, will be another fun and action filled night at the races.

Here’s what’s on tap:

This Friday night, when a driver purchases a pit pass upon their arrival to the speedway, they will also receive one free grandstand pass that will be good for any regularly priced event on the 2011 schedule. The intent of the free grandstand pass is for that driver to give it to someone that they may encounter in their everyday life that might have never been to Cowtown Speedway. This sport needs new fans and Cowtown Speedway is willing to help fill that void.

Seven race divisions are on the card, including USRA Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks, LSDCC.com Dwarf Cars, $200 to win for Bombers (reminder, IMCA legal Hobby Stocks are legal to run with the Bombers), Non-winged A-class 600’s on the ¼ mile track and for the first time at Cowtown, Non-winged Restricted 600’s will race on the Action Track.

On the grandstand side, at this point, adult tickets will remain at the discounted rate of $10 for ages 12 and up, ages 6-11 will be $5; and all kids 5 and under are free!

Gates open at 6pm and racing starts at 8pm.
The later start time over the past month has proven to be a hit with the race teams, race fans – and the racing surface itself with the high temperatures this summer.

During intermission, there will be the return of the J-Ray’s Car Bash behind the main grandstand area providing fans with a great way to relieve their pent up aggression on a car! Kids Candy Call will also take place at that time.

Fans can bring in a drink cooler (size of a 6-pack) as long as they do not have glass containers.

Please click www.CowtownSpeedway.com for complete race night information. Please direct any comments, questions or concerns to the appropriate person listed on that web page.

In upcoming speedway news, mark your calendars as the ASCS Sprint
Cars series event, has a new race date. The race will be on Friday night, August 19th instead of the following week as previously scheduled.
More details of the event will be announced soon.

Join us this Friday night as the USRA Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks, Non-Winged A-Class 600’s, Non-Winged Restricted 600’s, LSDCC.com Dwarf Cars will be racing. And the Bombers will be paying $200/win; IMCA hobby stock legal are OK to run with the Bombers. Have a great week and we’ll see you Friday night, August 5th for a full night of racing and fun, at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale!
