Mike Brinegar, who raced Midgets in Southern California in the 1970s with the USRC Midgets, was killed while racing go-carts at Willow Springs on Saturday night. He was 58-years-old. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

The sad news is that Mike Brinegar, a Stock OHV Kart driver, was fatally injured in a racing accident Saturday night at Willow Springs. Mr. Brinegar was 58 and lived in Garden Grove. He finished third in the Kart standings at Orange Show Speedway last season. According to the questionaire he completed for me he was single with one child and worked as a mechanic. My condolences to his family and friends.
