do you think you could have gotten before the season started that Dusty Zomer with one race night to go before the start of the Nationals would have MORE 410 A feature wins (baring injury or leaving for greener pastures) than either Lasoski or McCarl?
25 to 1 odds maybe?? and you wouldn't have had a lot of bettors taking Zomer.
The group I set with are beginning to think the old lions are maybe getting a little 'long in the tooth' and perhaps we are witnessing the emergence of the new alpha male in Zomer ??
Zomer has been fast, smooth and looks to be peaking at the right time for a shot at a great Nationals finish.
I would offer the number 1 headline of the year at Knoxville is Zomer winning a minimum of four 410 A features in the 2011 race season.

Zomer is absolutely making it happen every night and I'm loving every bit of it. He's always strong (especially around Nationals time) but after his Nationals run last year I knew he would be a big contender for the track championship this year.
Zoom Zoom has skills.

I would say he makes the A main but finished towards the rear. Qualifing is everything at the nationals so alot will ride on that.

you have to remember that racing is a motor sport. If you put Dude or Tmac in that car they would be almost untouchable. Credit where credit is due though, Zomer is getting it done. Dude's motors are tired and the 55 is not a great car. The 55 has not been a great car since before it went on the outlaw tour.

Zomer had the old back-up motor in last night. He'll have the big pony strapped in and screamin' at the Nationals.

I think what ever he had in the 91 last night doesn't matter come feature time.
I really don't care if he has one of Sammy's 'illegal' (tongue in cheek) motors in his car ... dry slick tracks become a no motor deal by feature time.
You seriously think either the 33 or 55 are lacking ANYTHING ($$$ or parts) to make them MORE than competitive on a weekly basis?
Lasoski sure wasn't slow at the WoO races he has ran recently.
The 91 is bad ass fast when the track is slick and to the fence.
Zomer driving style makes you kinda think of younger Travis Cram with a little more finesse.

Speaking of odds, does anyone put out a list of drivers with their odds of winning?
