Mr. Steve Quercio, Why would you remove a 360 Sprint date from August 13th for a figure 8? There wasn't a single track anywhere that was running 360's that weekend. I've heard you state how you want to help the sport of sprint car racing, and with the number of 360's growing and the number of 410's falling why would you shit on the 360s? You all ready changed dates that were 360 only to Open Shows (Rumor is because Rip Williams asked you too, like he made you not water on the 23rd), and now you'd taking them off your schedule all together, and for a FIGURE 8. This is sad and you're not doing a single thing for sprint car racing, unless Rip tells you too. I guess we all know who runs Victorville now.

The race wasn't cancelled, just moved to respect previously-scheduled sprint car shows in Cali on that date. I pesonally think it is great that the promoters are actually trying to work together to preserve this endangered sport we all love.
The Figure 8 fans and drivers have been overwhelming with their request to bring their racing to VRP, so this was a perfect opportunity to bring them to the High Desert!

Steve said in another post that he will reschedule the 360 Open Race. Rumor has it that he moved the 360 Open Race so that Brody Roa can go run Santa Maria with the CRA guys. Now tell me who runs Victorville...lol

Guys...It's True!!! Rip Williams and Brody Roa have secretly purchased the Track and call the shots!!!! LMAO......Here's the deal...very simple...Aug 6th will be our Big $2,500 to Win 410/360 Open Show....When the Schedule was put together, we didn't think the Aug 6th Race would turn into a Barn burner, and didn't catch the USAC Race at Santa Maria that more 360's are running. In these economic times, and seeing more 360's running more USAC Shows, we just decided to move the Date, and try to work with other Promoters. Looking for a Sept. Date now that will work so we can feature, and give the 360's their due they deserve as the FEATURE ATTRACTION. We want them to go into the garage and pull out all their tricks!!! Run what you Brung....No Rules.....$1,500 to Win (Full Field)...Give me the Date guys!!!!! Sept. (PS. Thank you Rip and Brody for witting this (lol) )

September 3 may be your date with VRA and West Coast 360s being dark. The USAC/CRA guys will be in Calistoga. We would love to go to Calistoga, but I don't see that happening, so let's race!. The next dark night for both groups is October 22.

1.) The reason the August 6th race changed from a 360 race to a 410/360 open show.
Steve put his foot in his mouth when he said to be in contention for his big purse at the season you had to run 4 of the open events, but there were only 3 left for the year.
2.) The reason for the canceling the August 13th race.
Well I can't guess that one, I'd say pure stupidity. Or USAC and Chris "Cry baby" Kearns were scared VV would take cars from them, and asked and Steve was a nice guy.
And Mr. Steve, I don't think Roa or Williams own the track, I think the drivers do. They whined about wheel pack and you got rid of wheel pack, the track was dryer then it's ever been and it took till 7 till the first two sprint heats were over(16 laps 60 mins). Rip Williams said if you watered before the main said he'd never come back and you didn't water, the track was so dusty I don't know how you didn't get fined. If you keep letting drivers tell you what to do, you're gonna be right back to were VV use to be before Mike.
Oh and Jeremy, I have nothing against Stock Cars, I love them, they advanced out of the 40's and got starters. Oh and sprints are tintops too, unless those roll bars are made of some space age material

Really, VV can't schedule against a USAC/CRA race at Santa Maria, but they can Schedule against one of the biggest open wheeled shows in the west.

Here we go again w/someone putting down something that Steve Querico is trying to do to help sprint car racing.
If you are an ex Victorville fan, then what do you care when the races are run? It doesn't sound like you would be there anyway.
Geez, give the man a break. At least he's trying to help out racing in Southern California. Next time you think about bitching think of this... what have YOU done to help out racing in Southern California?

Harry fan I could not agree more.....
Give Steve credit he is at least trying to make this thing work & he is willing to work with some of the promoters to do so. So what if he makes a mistake !! last time I looked we were all human. Like I said before at least he is making an attempt to help with the sprints on the West coast.

Well, I was told by multiple officals from Saturday that's what Rip told Steve, and I was there one time Rip offered to go home when Mike changed the rule making adjustable shocks illegeal, so I'm pretty sure that it's the truth. And what did Rip tell you? I'd really like to know.
