Mother Nature was not a willing dance partner with Jordan Goldesberry's race plans last weekend, as extreme heat put the clamps to Friday night's race at Jacksonville Speedway, and rain put a damper on the planned trip north to Peoria for a rare foray into 360 competition with the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders.
Next up will be the Monster Energy Midwest Open Wheel Illinois Sprint Week consisting of five nights at five different tracks stretching from central Illinois to the Metro East. The action starts Wednesday the 27th at the high-banked Spoon River Speedway in Canton, IL. Thursday the bright yellow #65 will head south to Tri-City Speedway, another 3/8 mile near St. Louis in Pontoon Beach, IL. On Friday the series returns to mid-Illinois as Jordan will push off at the Midwest Open Wheel Association's hometrack, Jacksonville Speedway.
Nights four and five of ISW will be contested at the tight 1/5 mile bullrings of the historic Macon Speedway on Saturday, with the grand finale of the series coming at Shepp's Speedway near Alexander, IL on Sunday.
