Found out last night that Kenny Jacobs is returing to sprint car racing! He'll start this Saturday night at Port Royal in the No. 22 Jim and Sandy Kline owned car.
Plan is to race the All-Star event at Knoxville and then the Knoxville Nationals as well.
Andy Potter and Cody Jacobs will be the crew. Everyone's super excited. Looking forward to seeing him back behind the wheel. (As long as he stays safe!)

That was the premier Central PA ride...we'll see if it is now, because I believe that they sold some of their stuff to Trone and Hodnett.

This is truly surprising. Thought Kenny was told not to race any more.

Trone didn't get any equipment from the Klines so that rumor can stop right here.
As for KJ, hope it works out for him and he remains safe.

While that is pretty surprising in itself, I'm even more surprised that Jim and Sandy are back. We were all surprised when they retired last year especially after ending on top of the world with a WG Championship and an outstanding 6th at Nationals. I seriously doubt the car will be as stout as it was in years past(similar to the Beam 88), but it is great to see them back in PA sprint car racing.

Mice are usually not welcome visitors, but in this case The Mouse is welcome in our house!
Look forward to seeing Kenny at Knoxville!

Lethal-Leeless 22 will be mid pack but still great news. Kenny has always been one of the classiest guys in the sport.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I bet that phone bill between Ohio and Jim and Sandy was a whopper,if they are indeed back for keeps,it would be great. I would definitely be watching that" Yaller Hornet" with the Mouse in the seat.More like a pirate on the good ship "lolly-pop".Good Luck to all involved.

My son and I were watching an AllStar race several years ago when he saw Kenny's car with the mouse on the wing. I told my son," That's Kenny Jacobs and his nickname is the mouse". He saw the car again later that night and said," Is that the mice guy?" !!!!!

Maybe mid pack at some tracks, but with their first night out being at Port Royal ,he could very well draw a front row starting spot for his heat race, finish 1st or second in his heat and than again draw a front row starting spot for the feature.Whatever his finish is I just wish him a safe race.

Wow!!! Must be a lot of wealthy fortune tellers out there. Some of you make it sound like they are claiming to come out and sweep every show they enter. It's the competitive drive!!! Some real douche bag, bench racers out there, but of course, some of us are well aware of that.
Good luck to all involved!!!

I still have the very first "Mighty Mouse" wing, autographed and hanging in my garage, complete as it came off the car. That was the first of many I did for Kenny and it was for the 1999 Knoxville Nationals.

How old is Kenny? Sounds like he was badly injured in the past? Fill me in....
