It's Rufus alright, but it's not Huntington or 49. It's actually fairly close to Perris, and a few years later.

I saw Parnelli racing what was called a King Cobra at Riverside Raceway in the mid sixties. Actually I think the car was a Cooper-Monaco withCobra power.

I was at this race with my dad and uncle and if NASCAR still had a group like this racing together, I would be the first in line.

Click on a few names like Jim Hurtubise above and I'll bet it will take more than a few you old farts back to your much younger day's. For instance- I saw Parnelli run at Gardena Stadium when I was a little kid growing up in Torrance before my first move to Phoenix and Manzy.

Has anyone ever seen a picture that came out like that? It's king of cool, but oh so wrong. LOL

I'm going to do my part for the 410's and CRA next weekend and head for Perris. It may not be Ascot, but this show is about more than a few that made it all happen.

Click on my website ( it's not) This day in history will keep you busy for a long time.

See ya at the track, and be sure to say hi if you see me first.

Dazzed and confused.
