The heat was on at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley Mo. as the Southern Modified Promotion Modifieds rolled into the Valley.
After local drivers Dustin Boney, Johnny Allen, and Arkansas's Johnny Bone jr. had won the last three stops on the tour, it was time for the tour guys to step up and show what the drivers South of us could do.
Well they did that as three of the regulars finished in the top five. Well almost, the guy that looked like the winner
Nathan Mayers was disqualified for not crossing the scales after the race, just a little mistake.
Klye Schmit from Farmington Ark. was declared the winner, fourth place went to Tyler Townsend from Texas. The top five was rounded out by Shade Batter, Chad Lyle, and Tim Seitzer.
This was a terrific night of racing at the Valley Speedway. This series has no place to go but up the ladder in modified racing. Unlike the USMTS local racers are able to jump right in and race with these guys. No special motor rules or any thing that they have to buy to race with the series.
Also many track promoters will want to check into the series as the up front money is really low to bring them to town.
Thanks to Valley Speedway, and a special thanks to Sam "on the mic" Steocklin for the call on the race. Enjoy.
