I am saying a prayer right now for the complete recovery of Joey Saldana,his wife says the lung is not healing yet and he has beginning to have headaches,everyone please,if you wish, do the same for one fine man and father,and racer,hard to beat on the track and now we need to pray for his recovery,the least we can do for a guy who has entertained us for years,so it is up to his fans everywhere to keep his wife encouraged and give her strength to keep him with it.

Agreed.
Heard on Winged Nation today that Donny flew into Indy to see Joey @ the hospital today. No matter if you like him or not, he has gained more respect from me with that gesture (last time I heard about anything similar is when Kinser stayed with Wolfgang in KC when he got burned).
I may not root for Donny, but it's pretty obvious to me that he has a lot of respect for Joey Saldana and his family and I have never heard ANY other driver ever badmouth Donny for his driving (in fact, many openly state that Donny is the "cleanest" driver out there).
Hoping for a speedy recovery for Joey (mostly recovery though, speedy is just a bonus as long as everything heals the way it should).

Yeah ... it took me a while to 'warm up' to Schatz .... but he has gained a lot of fans in the last few years by not taking the 'bait' ..when baited ... and showing some TRUE class in his interviews (oh ...and how many Nats trophies does he have??? that's what I thought ...several more than his 'detractors'.)

Yes, his actions lately have made me a fan of his again,I never really thought he was a bad person,but not all stories are true and his actions have proven the nay-sayers wrong. Donnie visiting Joey was a great thing for the both of them and proves that Tony knew what he was doing when he signed him and Steve ,both class acts for a long time.Joey,Donnie,Steve,and Kasey all class acts.

I'll join you in that prayer. Beyond a great driver, Joey appears to be a great family man. Praying for a healing hand on Joey and praying for strength with Shannon and the boys.

It wasn't mentioned last night, but there was a donations jar at Joey's merchandise trailer. I believe he will have to pay the vast majority of the medical expense himself. I am sure every dollar will help, so if you are heading to the Grove or any of the next few WOO races please go along to the trailer and give what you can.
