Buzz Shoemaker has generously added $100.00 to the Fast Time Award in memory of Billy. This makes fast time worth $500. Thank you to Gale/Adrienne Forester, Norma/Lee Leonard, and Buzz Shoemaker for participating in this award. Also a big thank you to Chris Holt.

Well, a few things here, first of all, a BIG THANK YOU to nice guy Buzz Shoemaker, and with a $500.00 envelope for fast time (that amount could go higher) I'm sure Dick Lane would be yelling "WHOA NELLIE"... and thank you's to me are not in order, the "Thanks" goes to all you fans that have been so generous in this bad economy...and if you don't know who Dick Lane is, (KTLA in LA) go ask your father !!

I'm guessing there are not too many of us left who remember Dick Lane. I was just a boy when his "Racing From Ascot" show was on.

I'm not sure if I have posted that Dynamic DeZigns Racing Flags, Dick Woodland Auto Display in Paso Robles and Straight Time Stirrups have put $300.00 towards the memory of the Bagley Family that will be awarded towards lap 21, $100.00 of it going to the top owner/driver and the other $200.00 going to the leader.

I went to A&P School with a guy from Fallbrook that was a Dancer on the Lawrence Welk Show. He's also the guy that invented the Battery Tender style of battery chargers. The guy was a crack-up, his name was Robert Kendrick. Maybe you can find him in your Fan Club Books Rob!

PS. The guy would drive everyday from Fallbrook to basically LAX for 2.5 years, psycho!

I just opened the mail, and am happy to post that Lap 30 is being sponsored by Linda Halibrand in memory of her father Ted Halibrand...Google Ted's name and I'm sure you will find some interesting info. on one of the racing greats of our time, the name MAG WHEEL starts with Ted, the rest is history, he also updated the quick change rear end along with a list of other "go fast" items. For me growing up in the pits of Lions Drag Strip, Halibrand was right up there with Dean Moon, Mickey Thompson, Ed Iskenderian etc. Listening to the Indy 500 in the 50's-60's the Halibrand name was heard for years when they were talking about the front runners, I'm very pleased to list his name with the Jack Kindoll event, I'm sure that Jack, Billy and Walt would approve...and again THANK YOU to everyone that has helped make this another succesfull event, lets hope we attract a few extra teams.
