Last Friday night July 8th saw Jordan Goldesberry compete with the Monster Energy Drink Midwest Open Wheel Association at Lincoln Speedway in Illinois. 29 cars and a large crowd were on hand for the event at the Logan County Fairgrounds track.
Starting outside 3rd row in his heat race, but automatically moving up to the second row due to a scratch, the yellow and blue Maxim chassis found itself in a strong second place at the checker, putting Jordan at the top of the passing points system.
A 4th place finish in the dash would slot Goldesberry outside 2nd row for the feature. By the midway point of the race the 20 year old Springfield racer was holding steady in third place on the heels of the leaders, but a last lap pass by Robbie Standridge meant Jordan Goldesberry Motorsports would bring home a 4th place finish for the second night in a row.
This Friday night the team will head to the familiar Jacksonville Speedway.
July looks to be a busy month with a mixture of 410 and 360 racing, ending with the 5 race, 5 night Monster Energy Illinois Speedweek.
