How did all the racers get their numbers?
I'm 21B.
My grandfather's midget was 21. My dad's micro-midget was 21. I was born on the 21st, and my younger brother was born on the 21st. My basketball jersey was always 21.
I added the B a few years ago, cause we were always one of the last ones to the track, and I got tired of putting an ugly X beside my 21 cause another 21 got to the track before me!

88 cause it was easy for the announcer to read when I was on my lid...easy and a little to often!

My number is 20L but someday will just be 20. My grandpa used 20 when he started racing because if i remember right, that was the age that he started racing. My dad used that number when he started racing and still uses it on his sprint car. When I started racing hobby stocks, I was number 20, but when I moved into sprint cars, I had to add the L on the end since I race against my dad. When he decides to retire, I will take over the number 20.
