We just got word that Arizona racer Rick Sipes passed away last night. Below is a photo of Rick racing in March, 2004 with the USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series at El Centro.

Condolences to Alisa and family. Also to my pal Dwayne Marcum. Rick was like a father to him, and will be greatly missed.

Rick Sipes
Born on May 16, 1949 to Forrest Sipes and Connie Little in Shelbyville, Ind. Married to Connie Sipes for 40 years. Survived by son, Wade (Rita) and daughter, Alisa (Dwayne); grandchildren, Alyson (Best Buddy), Andrea and Zachery; sisters, Sandy (Joy), Barney (Daryl) and Becky (John). Rick was owner of Sunset Screen Printing & Embroidery and life time Sprint and Stock Car Racer. Just remember his red shoes walking to heaven.
