A couple other quick notes from the 360s...

R19 took the "Need For Speed" Challenge and earned an extra $100 for his third place finish.

87 and 15 were put to the back of the feature line up following a backstretch incident following their heat race.

4- 05 Boles

5- 87 Lund

6- 99v Vogelaar

7- 7m Meyers

DNF 4j Grosz

DNF 1hd Leighty

On the start, 99v got into the back of pole setter 1hd and sent him across the track into the 4j. The 99v was sent to the back for the restart and the others were out of the race.

Was this Tony Hargrave's first time at Jackson or has he been down there before? They really stepped up their program this year. In the past Tony used to race IMCA at Arlington and hit a few of the local 360 races around the Cities.

First time for Tony Hargrave down this season. I think I have seen him before, but then again, I am also thinking that may have been Al Hargrave. Either way, he had a sharp looking yellow #18 car.

Did it look something like this?

I am a bit race challenged so far this season at only three shows but I've already seen Tony. Next week I'll catch some IRA cars at Brainerd.

Tony is a talented driver who races clean and doesn't wreck stuff. He kind of slipped under the radar because the IMCA cars don't get noticed as much as some of the other divisions. You look at some of the drivers who have come out of that Arlington and Redwood deal the past few years and it's pretty amazing.

If I'm not mistaken, the 20g of Chris Graf was racing the Jackpot Junction Series and raced the Jackson Nationals last year. He is another guy from that series that is looking good early on this season racing at Jackson. Neal Stevens also raced in that series and has been down.

I wish I had the oppertunity to get to see some of these guys out there racing so close, and yet I dont' know them. Some past guys that ran IMCA that have done well in teh area include Lindquist, Scott Winters, G Bakker, and Curt Lund. I am sure there are others, but those are some that I know.

The series is going to Owatonna a few times this year so I hope to see some of the drivers over there.
