Sounds like it, go read about it on ibracn.com. Enjoy watching all three of these guys, but if Steve did grab Sammy by the throat, Steve is gonna need a $$$$ fine and maybe a suspension. No one should ever be allowed to do this.

Steve and Sammy have a on again and off again relation. I hate to tell you this, but therse things help racing. Every group needs a hero and a villian to keep interest up. Steve and sammy and Wolfgang made the World of Outlaws. No one got hurt and I;m sure the crowd loved it. I know for sure that Steve is not a hot head. Only Steve and Jeff know how it all started. Let them race and enjoy it as it will soon be over when they retire.

Steve doesn't do anything like this without provocation.
Meaning- this must be payback for something earlier. He knew where Sammy would be when he came off the track, and how he'd be. So he dealt with him too.
ya' don't mess with Steve................

How is this news? This happens about every other year. Sounded like Steve might have been able to avoid the contact but Daddy Swindell is going to have to let little man handle his own at some point. Going to have to learn to fight for yourself, especially if you race like a Swindell.

I amazed by the drive that Steve and Sammy still posses.
There aren't too many people in their fifties who have the desire, a fire in their belly, to succeed like these guys do.
I wish I had the opportunity to see them race more often...

I was sitting in turn four and had a real clear look at what happend. Kevin gave Steve just a tiny gap and Steve went for it. His right rear clipped Kevin's front left and then Kevin's front axle crumpled and he spun. They were coming to the checkered. If it were any other family it would be called a "racing deal" but when you throw in those two names, that's what you get!
It was interesting that Kevin never did take the checkered flag but was credited with a fifth place finish in the heat which was a transfer spot. They did lap up to sixth place. I always thought you had to finish a heat race to advance???
To me it was good hard racing for a dash spot. Steve was actually lucky he didn't get upside down as well.
They need to race at River Cities about four or five times during the year. It's always interesting!

LMAO!! GREAT STUFF!
Forget any fines.....GIVE'EM ALL APPEARANCE MONEY!
Just make sure whatever happens, happens on the frontstretch!
Back in the late '70s & early '80s, this was common between these two, I witnessed a few of'em, seem Steve usually came out on top.
One question......is Steve still wearing a cast? LOL!!

Didn't Kevin have an incident with Brooke Tatnell as well the night before? I thought the nickname (Rocky the Flying Squirrel) that someone gave Kevin a few years ago was quite appropriate. Too bad Sammy has set a bad example for Kevin or he might have that NASCAR ride by now.

Kinser beating up Swindell isnt new. Sammy is fast and back to his old cocky ways. I bet this isnt the last of this story for the year!

Supposedly Mrs. Swindell made a few comments on the internet as well but I don't know exactly.
A mouthy girlfriend, wife, or mother at a racetrack is never a good thing.

Just a quick explanation on the scoring. Kevin Swindell completed 9 laps in that heat race, as did Kohlan Fedyk and Todd Mickelson. Swindell was ahead of both Fedyk and Mickelson when they completed lap 9, and so Swindell was scored 5th, with Fedyk 6th and Mickelson 7th. The leader took the checkered flag before the caution came out for Kevin's spin, therefore the race was complete.

I don't suppose there's any video of "the racing part" of this confrontation is there? Because the account from Skidooxp19 makes it sound like Kinser ran over Kevin (who had the position) and we all know THAT's not possible. Video would clear up any "silly" speculation.
