Jackson possibles?

1 Sammy Swindell, 1s Kevin Swindell, 33 Danny Lasoski, 55 Terry McCarl, 17a Austin McCarl, 21 Brian Brown, 23w Scott Winters, 91 Dusty Zomer, 38 Wayne Johnson, 71r Ryan Anderson, 69 Mike Moore, 12 Lynton Jeffrey, 56 Davey Heskin, 56c Johnn Cressman, 81 Austin Johnson, 45X Johnny Herrera, 1 Bronson Maeschen, 92 Kerry Madsen, 14 Jody Rosenboom, 11X Gregg Bakker, 33 Robby Wolfgang, 59 Brooke Tatnell, 2L Logan Forler plus many more hopefully....not sure if any WoO guys will show up but you would think for 12,000 and racing nearby the following 2 nights it could be interesting. Would think maybe Dollansky, Schatz?? Not sure..Also not sure if the ASCS National tour is racing, but what about Shane Stewart, Billy Alley, Jack Dover??

Anyways, Hoping for at least 30 410's and a great show. Weather looks good for the weekend as long as this predicted rainfall gets outta here!

Feel free to add or remove drivers if you know who's heading to the big half mile..

Schatz's pr guy said at Knoxville that he wouldn't be running there Friday. Dollansky I'm pretty sure will be there since its the Big Game Shootout. They had advertisements for it at his and Sammy's t shirt trailer when they were at Knoxville. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was said the Big Game cars would all be there.

Sprintcar races have commercials? I'm from Iowa and haven't heard one before! Hell I didn't even know Knoxville existed until I was in my 20's and a friend was telling me about it. (Thank god for that friend)

Have also heard from someone in the know that Jason Meyers will not/cannot race there due to WofO rules???? Could someone explain as some people have been led to believe that some outlaw regulars would show up as there have been so many rainouts that the WofO is letting them jump outside "scheduled nights" to try to earn money.......Thanks

If the WOO actually do have rules that prohibit their regulars from hitting non-sanctioned shows like this one, it's no wonder late model racing is heads and tails more popular.

Non-sanctioned big money late model events draw drivers from all series.

I've heard too many things about this to know which is reality and which is not, but again if the WOO sprint series has an actual rule that won't allow their drivers to hit a show that's currently right on their path.......IT'S THE BIGGEST, MOST IDIOTIC, AND PATHETIC rule EVER!

I've heard this in past years too. I just spent 15 minutes scanning through the WoO rules and couldn't find anything addressing the subject of cars running a non-sanctioned event. Maybe someone else may know something.

I took this from another message board. To clear the air on the WoO drivers... Johnny Gibson shedded some light on this for one of our shows... Any WoO driver that is considered FULL TIME (currently 14 of them) are not allowed to race at a NON-SANCTIONED WoO track, Jackson is not a WoO sanctioned track. If one of these drivers compete in this event, they will be penalized 250 points plus tow money

WOO Sprint Series seems to be a bit greedy in this regard.

Makes big money late model events all that much more appealing. Bigger names and much stronger car counts. I guess the WOO pretty much has a stranglehold on the talent in the sprint series.

I love sprinters, but things like this need to change for a stronger sprint racing future.

The event will still kick-a**, bet there's some WOO regs who would love to be at Jackson for a chance at 2K more for a one night win, especially since it's NOT out of their way.

Sad, simply sad. frown

In the end, the fans take it in the a**. Thanks WOO SS

How is Craig Dollansky able to compete in this event then, since he is a full time outlaw?

Dollansky was given permission by the WoO. But it's not like the outlaw guys are completely unable to run this event, they can do whatever they want but would have to take the penalty.

Would love to see all the Outlaw teams band together and fight this some time. If you have 100% participation, the 250-point penalty becomes a moot point. Granted, tow money may effect some more than others, but I'd think the track would step in if necessary.

If you were the WoO, and tracks and promotors paid you a sanction fee of $10k, $50k, $100k, etc so that your drivers (Saldana, Schatz, Meyers, Kinser, etc -- or in your case, Josh Richards, Scott Bloomquist, Jimmy Mars, Donnie Moran, etc) showed up to put on a show for the fans -- would you be happy if another track & promotor were not willing to pay that sanction fee to sanction a show, yet still got to reap the benefits of having those same drivers show up at their non-sanctioned event??

Sprint cars used to have non-sanctioned big money events that drew drivers from all series - they were called the Kings Royal and Knoxville Nationals. It's very arguable that both events were better sans sanctioning body. Good for late models that the World 100 and other big $$ non-sanctioned events are still going strong without big brother to swoop in and screw it up.

If you can't tell, I don't always agree with the WoO........ but at least see where they are coming from with this rule.

PS -- in response to another post -- the drivers did band together to fight this 5 yrs ago - it was called the NST. Probably would still be around if Fred Brownfield was still here (RIP).
