Good to see him racing more again. What's up with that 16 car he drives? They seems to qualify well but when it comes time to race, they are quite uncompetitive. Any thoughts?

The last guy that drove it won 410 races at Huset's, beat the IRA at elko, and won the Jackson Nationals in it. The car was fast when it didn't blow up, maybe it's the driver?

i was kind of thinking that myself. seems over the last 5 or 6 years he gets real conservative with cars around him. he always runs the bottom now and plays it safe and not fast. he probably always has qualified fast because he's by himself and he hangs is out. years ago he was really intense and exciting and won just about every other time out.

I know the 16 is a reverse arm car and they are struggling with the setup just a bit. I believe Travis and Walt have their own car ready to go but not sure when we'll see the 9 on the track.

I have watched the 16 car all my life and rarely have I seen in it start up front and go to the back,of course when Gary drove it he started in the back and drove to the front alot, but with Jake in the car it was pretty dang good and always competitve when the motors held together and now with travis it is pretty sad,Gary could get in it and do Alot better even after a couple years off!!!!JMO

The 16 teem is putting a standard bar car together that will be at Jackson Friday night.
Travis will be wheeling it, good luck to Travis and the teem .

probably a good thing he wasn't at Oshkosh last night the way he's been going about racing the last few years. that track was wickedly fast. he may not have even made the A.
