This past weekend Canyon Raceway announced they are hosting a 2 day USAC show on October 28th, and 29th.

Now I have something to complain about...Not having enough vacation for the Hall of Fame Classic, Oval Nationals, and Pacific Coast National. It's about time they brought the 410's back to AZ.

Is it going to be 410's and if it is, is it the national bunch or CRA?

Hmmm'...thanks Byron & Grady... very interesting info!!..not at Canyon to hear it...will deff check it out...if in fact it was announced,it had ta be thru Kevin!!...that bein said is good enough for me!!...oooops!!...USAC "Copper on Dirt" but one week b4 Ovals!!...I'd be surprised the Nat'l pts runners (top 10)..would miss it!!....things could change by then for some, most should be there!!...JMG....Sanction fees paid naturly!!...USAC at Canyon could/should be HUGE Draw!!!..mite even get some of those fast NorCal, N.M./Tx shoez takin off the LIDS!!...time ta go check Scheds. now!!.......back from sched check!!...nothin on Nat'l sched....CRA has a TBA"for Oct.29th!!...more checks finds ASCS Short Track Nat'ls on Oct 27,28,29...that would be a confict for ASCS racers at Canyon, to run in

Ar.... Canyon Sched shows USAC Sprint Cars for "Hall of Fame Classic" Oct.28-29,!....so Canyon is not on USAC's Nat'l

sched as it stands now!!....they have been known to make changes....sounds good so far!!...

Shortly after Kevin arrived at Canyon Saturday afternoon a friend told me that Kevin had told him about it and that it would be announced that night... After the Copper deal I had him go ask him if it was true, just to make sure.Smile..... He confirmed it, but I never did get it nailed down to if it was the National boy's or?

wow. I moved here from San Diego (native) about 10 months ago, the only thing I miss about SoCal is Perris. If they can make that happen at Canyon I will be there and most definitely bring some people with me, that is exciting. Canyon has been here for a long time, glad to see the new team there taking a chance on building the facility for the future. I am all in. Question, that grandstand can't hold a USAC type crowd; has there been any talk about new/added grandstand or bleacher seating? Just checking, I fall down the stairs every time I go there... which is fine. I drink a lot. Thanks for the news!

The Hall of Fame Classic Returns USAC Sprint Cars to Arizona Kevin Montgomery PEORIA, Ariz. (June 16th, 2011) - As we approach summer and look to the future as to what the second half of 2011 may bring us, traditional Sprint Car fans can mark their calendar for October 28th and 29th as Canyon Speedway will host the Hall of Fame Classic featuring the stars of the United States Auto Club Sprint Cars. The Hall of Fame Classic found a home at the Peoria, Arizona race track in 2010 and has quickly become one of the marquee events of the 30 year old facility. The October event will mark the return of USAC Sprint Cars to the Valley of the Sun since the closing of Manzanita Speedway in April 2009. The combination of USAC Sprint Cars and the tradition of the Hall of Fame Classic will likely make for a formidable West Coast Sprint Car event. "Kevin Montgomery and I have been working on this event for a while now and we are happy to see USAC coming back to Arizona," commented Chris Kearns of USAC. "This will be a great event with an impressive purse and a great start to the USAC Western Swing." The Arizona Motorsports Hall of Fame was founded in 1986 when the first 10 members were inducted. Since its inception, more than 80 new members have been elected to the elite group that is occupied with a rich racing heritage, one that is abundant with tradition and prestige. The members list is impressive and each of them has made a considerable impact on racing across the country. The two night USAC Sprint Car event, honoring Hall of Fame members and new inductees, will feature two complete nights of 410 Sprint Car action with the winner of Friday nights preliminary event pocketing $2500 and the eventual Hall of Fame Classic Champion taking home a $5000 payday on Saturday nights finale. The ParkerStore Fitting for The Hall of Fame Classic

Kevin Montgomery PEORIA, Ariz. (July 11th, 2011) – While out looking for hoses and fittings in the Phoenix area, The ParkerStore is the only place to be! As you meander through the entrance into the huge showroom you will find anything you can imagine and more but as you explore further you will find a store and its owner dedicated to auto racing with a fully outfitted high performance hose and fitting's section for any race car application.

Just beyond the showroom you will find a room full of racing history. The Arizona Motorsports Hall of Fame is housed at the East Broadway location in an elaborate setting full of great Sprint Car racing pictures that highlights some of the heritage of Arizona Sprint Car racing as well as a wall of plaques honoring the 80 plus members of the Arizona Motorsports Hall of Fame.

The dedication and passion to Arizona racing makes it fitting for the Phoenix ParkerStore to be the Official Sponsor of the USAC Hall of Fame Classic set for this fall at Canyon Speedway in Peoria, Arizona. The two night USAC National Sprint Car event, honoring Hall of Fame members and new inductees, will feature two complete nights of 410 Sprint Car action set for October 28th and 29th.
