Things are looking up for the Jack Kindoll Race of Champions, (this year will be the final tribute to Jack and Wilda Kindoll) I have a Firesuit that is from the late 50's early 60's that belonged to George Snider, it has a few wear spots, and due to it's age is not in 'mint' condition but certinly has a few 'character lines'...it is a heavy off white fabric made by Hinchman. I'm willing to let this go to the highest bidder over $100.00 and the bidder can also pick where in the race the $$ would go. As of now I have $250 for the Billy Wilkerson Fast Time, $500 for the Walt James Trophy Dash, $100 to the hard charger and a few other $100 promise's. One interesting item is a silver platter that was won 30 years ago by the Kindol team with Jimmy Oskie and is inscribed with the date from "JC Agajainians Ascot Park" it measures about 24" X 36", this mint condition item will go home with the Main Event Winner.

So far the highest bid I have recieved (by phone) is $40.00. This suit is in pretty good condition, it looks like the suit worn by "Ziggy" in the 1970 Indy 500 for car owner A J Foyt, but I'm not for sure. There is a Trophy Dash in memory of Walt James, if I can get the purse up high enough it will be a "Last Man Standing" type trophy dash. Just an interesting tid bit about this years race that will also have a Billy Wilkerson fast time award...not only is the Snider driving suit possibly from the 1970 Indy 500, (That years Indy 500 winner was Al Unser driving for Parnelli Jones) but Walt James retired from CRA in 1970 after being president for 21 years, the trophy dash for that last race under the direction of Walt James was won by the 1970 CRA Champion, Billy Wilkerson. Something tells me this 40 year old driving suit is worth more than $40.00...Do I hear $50.00 ?? Snider (Ziggy) currently sponsors the car recently driven to a fist full of wins this year by Bud Kaeding...

Joe ...308 people have viewed this post, your only the 2nd bid ... I will probably close the bidding soon, I suspect your going to be the owner of a very interesting piece of history, you will also be the owner of a little added bonus I should have mentioned that is packed in with the suit at the bottom of the box.

Common Folks! Everyone says something needs to be done for these teams yet no one ponies up to the plate! Let's gets some bidding going on here! Someone donated something of great sentimental value to help these teams out! If I win this I will try to find a museum to display it in but common you cheap B's post a bid!
