After three weeks with no action going on at Lakeside Speedway things were really happening with lots of racing action with five feature for the night.
With Clint Bowyer in his pit doing the wrenching on the car Cody Agler was up on the wheel for his A-main winning after a late race charge by Aaron Marrant . This was a make up race for 5-13-11 that was rained out.
For the first time I can remember the Factory Stock A-Main was shorten to 7 laps after many yellow flags and several restarts. Cliff Hedges jr. would with stand the night and come home the winner.
A jubilant Mike Higley would kiss his trophy in victory lane as he won his first race just 4 races into the season at the speedway. After taking the lead at about the mid race point Higley would open up a sizable lead and go on to the win.
One of the races really worth watching was the race for second place in the Grand National race. Tim Billings and Mike Ryun. They battled back and forth while trying to chase down Tim Shields for the lead. Tim however was out front and planned to stay their, Shields your winner.
The second A-main for the A-Mods was a sight to behold, first Jason Bodenhammer took the lead and you thought he's gone, Tim Karrick show some mid race speed and lead for a while, Darron Fuqua running up on top of the track just feet from the wall took the lead away from Karrick and was pulling away but faith or old lady luck struck as Darron got caught up in an accident with two cars that got tangled up right in front of the leader, Fuqua goes out with a flat right front tire. Karrick goes on to the win.
