Well it took awhile, but with Brian Ellenberger's win last night at Mercer, it looks like just about every driver running the new GF1 chassis has a win this year: Blaney, Rahmer, Henderson, Crawley, Taylor etc. Congratulations to George Fisher and TI22. It is so tough for a new manufacturer to break into the Sprint Car world and nice to see a different chassis have success.

Brian won at Mercer last year with the first GF1 chassis. Bob Felmlee won last night at Tri-City in Franklin. I think Bob is driving a GF1 also.

I am no chassis expert, but according to the TI22 website, the JEI has been reworked by George Fisher. This is not a knock against Maxim in any way shape or form, but I miss the old innovative days. Sometimes you get tired seeing 20 out of the 24 starters running Maxims. I think it it neat to see a smaller company, ie, GF1, Mach 1, ART etc break through for a win every now and then.

The GF1 design appears to be completely new!
You can see close up pictures of the chassis here; http://www.speedmartinc.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=786
The new chassis features a bearing option for the torsion bars, changes to the triangulation and cross member support on the front and rear clip, and adjustable fuel cell mounts. There are probably others, but I'm not affiliated with GF1, nor am I an expert.
With that said, I am anxious to visit GF1's new website, but as of yesterday, the new site was still under construction.

Fred Rahmer gets his second win of the year tonight at Big Diamond and wins the Keystone Cup. He is really starting to get his GF1 dialed in, as he had a win, 2 seconds and a third in 4 races to win the title.
