3rd Annual LoneStar Memorial Day Extravaganza & Fan Appreciation May 29th
Kilgore TX (5/22/11) by DarinShort.com. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate during Memorial Day weekend, look no further than Lone Star Speedway! O’Reilly SUPR Late Models and four support divisions will greet racing fans at the high banked 3/8 mile speed plant this Sunday, May 29th.
Normally, this event would carry ticket prices of $15.
But track owners Lisa and Sam Hafertepe would like to express their appreciation to the race fans of their outstanding support of LoneStar Speedway events in 2011 by offering “weekly” ticket prices to this special event of just $10 for adult admission.
A full field of O’Reilly SUPR Late Models will be on hand, and you can expect to see breakout driver and series points leader Morgan Bagley; plus Timothy Culp, Allen Tippen, Kevin Sitton, Robert Litton, Robbie Starnes, Howard "Ray" Moore II, Chris Holley, Robbie Stuart, Ronny Adams and many more battle it out.
In addition to the O’Reilly SUPR Late Models, a complete program of Modified, Limited Modified, Dirt Stocks and Factory Stocks will compete. Their purse and rules are located at the track website.
Here are some quick facts for the event:
-Gates open at 5pm, with racing at 7:30pm.
-General Admission just $10 (ages 11 and older)
-Ages 10 and under admitted free with adult admission
-Upgrade any ticket to the reserved section for $5 per person
-Seniors/Military (Ages 65+, General Admission) $8

THURSDAY MORNING UPDATE:
"GREEN FLAG" weather forecasts are set to go for this Sunday night's "Memorial Day Extravaganza" SUPR Late Model headliner at LoneStar Speedway near Kilgore.
The drinks are all being chilled, the track has been watered repeatedly this past week (courtesy of Mother Nature) and the drivers are ready to hit the 3/8 mile high banks to slug it out in front of an expected large crowd taking advantage of "$10 Fan Appreciation Night."
A 40-lap $2,500 to win SUPR Late Model feature will wrap up a full night of racing that also includes Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, Dirt Stocks & Factory Stocks. Heat races are also on tap for all 5 classes starting with the first green flag at 7:30pm.
