Anyone hear from Sweeton? I know he lives in Joplin & was just hopin to hear some good news as to him & his family's well being........Good Luck Mike!!

He was the first person I worried and thought about myself. Have known him along time and do trust he and his family are okay.
www.southwestmissouriracing.com is where I have been going to for updates as there are alot of drivers who frequent there. No, not a sprint car message board and not sprint car oriented but our fellow race drivers.
I do hope Sweeton is okay, pretty sad and incredible the destruction.

My cousin was on duty at the hospital that blown up by the tornado, she called my uncle for two seconds to say she was ok, but obviously extremely busy. she had not heard yet about her home husband and kids and we have not heard from her again yet,please your best thoughts and wishes as race people are strong willed freinds .. Thanx again

I just got a text from Sweeton, he said his family is all ok,He wants to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. He also said Joplin is destroyed and to please keep praying.

Thank you so much for that information. That is not slighting all the other people in Joplin one bit, just I have known Sweeton along-time and was concerned. Praying for all involved...

Glad to hear that Mike and family is ok, I was thinking of him as well. I pass by Joplin on the way to Tulsa to The Bowl every year. Can't imagine what it looks like now. I heard the funnel cloud was a mile wide and went over I-44. Thoughts and prayers to all of storm victims.

Just got second hand information that Mike's house was leveled as was the apartment his daughter was living but all are okay.

The weather seems to be off the charts anymore! What a tragedy for so many people so far this year. It just makes you wonder who is next with these intense storms.

Mike's house was not leveled David. His daughter's apartment is mostly gone though.

This is the first time that I have been able to get on a computer. My entire family wants to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and texts. If we get a few minutes later this weekend, we may get you some more info. My house is fine but my youngest daughter, Savanah, who graduated from high school that day, did loose her apartment, but we are all safe. Right now we have 4 friends that perished.
There is just so much going on right now, we will have to tell more later. Thanks for all of the prayers but please keep them up because we're all going to need them. Thanks again to everyone.
