5/19/11 The highly anticipated first time appearance of the Bumper
to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway,
scheduled for Friday May 20th, is unfortunately going to have wait til
another day as the high probability for rain has forced officials to
cancel Friday's event. Track and series officials are working together
to try and find a make-up date. Officials on both sides agreed to call
the show early in hopes of saving everyone any unnecessary travel
expense due to the high percentage of precipitation last forecasted.
The IRA show scheduled for Saturday May 21 is still on, though it
is suggested that everyone check the IRA & Cedar Lake websites on
race day.

The forecast was 80% the last time I looked so it was a wise decision. Keep an eye on the Cedar Lake as well. They're forecasting 60% Friday night, 80% during the day on Saturday and 50% Saturday night for New Richmond. I'm not sure of the timing or details but I'd keep an eye on it.

WE COULD BE RACING I FEEL THE IRA HAS JUMPED THE GUN A LITTLE ON THIS ONE. Today High of 78 with 10 percent chance of rain, and tonight a high of 55 with a 40 chance of rain after midnight, looks like the ira made another booboo. look is like its going to be a SUNNY RAIN OUT.......AGAIN

While it is frustrating I can see both sides especially at MS Thunder. It is their first IRA show and a pretty large purse and if they loose their butt on it that will probably be their last show and from the racers front you spend $600 on expenses going to watch it rain it can be a drain on the pocket book. I do have to agree with you that the forcast does look better for Friday then Saturday. It is a no win situation but I guess by calling it early the only bad thing is not going racing.
