Apparently Dobmeier ran Schatz down in lapped traffic to steal the win at Husets Speedway last night.
Congrats to the 13 team on a popular win!

great race, schatz seemed to slow towards the end and dobs blew by in traffic. 25 laps with no yellows made for a lot of lapped traffic. schatz ran an older yellow car with Big Game decals on his wing and did not have much of a crew. I would assuse he was just testing the LS7 engine again.

25 laps non stop at Husets? I would say Schatz was tired and Dobmeier is in better physical condition.

That is the LS7 car they tested in non-WoO events last year, heck they even won an All Star event with it last year.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

25 laps X 12 seconds (at the most) = 300 seconds = 5 minutes.

While I don't think that is the reason Schatz lost, 5 minutes behind a 410 sprint car is no easy chore.

Probably had more to do with Schatz having 125 -150 less horsepower, I'm sure if had a regular motor in he would have won easily.

Probably had more to do with the best local driver at the track giving him a driving lesson. Don't run the LS7 and then make excuses about it.

If any of you were actually watching fatty run the cushion it was too heavy for that little motor to power through...

I'm not a Schatz fan, but unless I'm missing something isn't Schatz trying to do a good thing here? And why are we commenting on someone's weight.
I commend him for trying to do something to help the sport grow.

I like the fact that DS is out racing and in the process helping the local tracks. Making excuses as to why he didn't win irritates me. He got beat plain and simple. Hope he returns to Husets soon.

Are ya'll sure Schatz just got beat plain and simple?
Maybe Burger Boy beat himself trying to hook a right turn out of the track to find the nearest BK, now there's food for thought.

Not that Schatz needs anyone to defend him ........but with multiple Nationals titles on his resume' .......... does size, muscles, perfect physique define being one the best sprint car drivers in the country now and for the last 5 or 6 years ???
Didn't think so .....
I'll take Schatz's build (or lack of) and sprint car success over anyone on here making fun of him and enjoy my Nationals trophies and WoO championships over your 'perfect' abs and biceps.

He ran a hell of a race and Dob was a little out of control.
I appreciate all the R and D the Schatz's and Shaver are doing with the engine.
All they are doing is trying to save local racing

I wonder what these people who are bashing Schatz for his weight look like? I'm sure they're all 6 foot tall, 180 pounds of pure muscle.
Not a Schatz fan by any means, but to bash him because he's a little out of shape is stupid. Grow up

It was more like Schatz not bullying his way around the track. Donny looked really relaxed and having a good time all night. He made no excuses for finishing second.

I used to not care one way or the other for him too .... but I have slowly become a fan of his .... he is pretty serious in an interview. Does not show much emotion and that seems to hurt his crowd approval ..... but sure as HELL hasn't hurt his ability to be number 1 or close to it for the last several years.
When he ran Knoxville as a 'regular' in the late 90's (??) and left and went on the road with the WoO I laughed and told my racing buddies ...'what a waste of $$$ and effort, never gonna be a threat to worry the top teams and their drivers.'
Was I ever WRONG ...
Kudos to Ricky Warner too ..... DS and RW seem to work really well as a team and have stayed together thru thick and thin.

I was happy that Husets had a top driver like Donny in the infield along with the other 22 drivers. The more cars the better and the bigger the names the better. No matter what motor he has in the car he can still drive and is fun to watch. Mark did a hellva job though.
