first off our friend matt morello who had a heart attack at the track has been under an induced coma. i am told matt was woken up a couple of times today and showed signs of responsiveness, although he was not allowed to stay conscious for very long. thanks for the update kirk. wishing matt a speedy and full recovery.

Im not sure why Tarlton is complaining about the track the last 2 weeks, is it because he was not running up front? It was a whole lot better then the one bottom grove, dry track he ran second on the first race of the season. Sanders almost breaks the track record last week (11.5), 4 drivers in the 11.8 in qual this week, and the fastest laps in the 11.9 (Day) and 12.0 (Golobic) range during the main event. I will agree turn two had a few bumps on the bottom nat making it the ideal place to pass, but it was a very racey track with a top and bottom grove. Still, id think someone as good as Tralton would get it figured out and race his way into contention, which he did with his 4th place finish. The competition is always tough at Oceans, even without Larson there. Just dont understand his comments about the track being 'horrible' and 'looking for a better place to race'.
