White 28 is Johnathan (spelling?) Cornel. Looked like the 12 of Richards slowed a bit, Cornel hit him, bounced off and into Agan.

SRS: Thanks. Looks like Cornell got over the back of Richards who was having issues...
I figured out in order to embed the video you have to check the box "use old code"

Does any other track shread stuff like Knoxville?
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

As a fan I thought the track was good but most drivers I talked to didn't. They seemed frustrated that the track was horrible opening night and then they knew it would be overwatered the next week. Fast and wet tracks seem to usually cause some nasty wrecks. I guess that is dirt track racing.

IF people didnt have anything to complain about, there would be nothing to talk about. The track was racy everywhere, and fairly wide for the limited amount of laps ran on it.
If you dont like a fast track, why tow to Knoxville in the spring? Seems to be the solution to me.

Plenty of other tracks "shread stuff" like Knoxville. Any track close to a half mile can produce the speeds to mangle a car... ie the Grove, Port, Eldora. Smaller tracks like Pevely, I-80, and the Thunderbowl in Cali can also destroy a car also if the situation is right. Would you like examples?? Thankfully the safety equipment has improved over the years, and drivers can walk away from some of the nasty stuff like we saw last week.

One thing about those videos that is fantastic is that you can see how fast and great the safety crew at Knoxville is. Second to none. It just sucks that all tracks don't have that kind of crew.

Yeah ..... one of the most wadded up sprint cars I've seen in 30+ years of going to the sprint car races was just a few years ago at Bethany MO on Labor Day eve and it's a fairly low banked 1/4 mile. I think it was # 96 and it hit the front wall after running over a wheel on the car in front of him.
It was drug past us in the stands by the wrecker going back to the pits and it didn't have a thing left that looked usable I think you could have put it thru the crusher at Car Country and had more left.
Then, I have seen cars flip at speed at Knoxville and bolt on a new top wing and maybe a shock or two and do it during the red for their wreck and be as fast as before their crash.
Pretty safe assumption that a 1/2 mile track turning laps in the low to sub 15 seconds for quick time is going to on average, cause more damage than a 1/4 mile track that is turning low to sub 11 seconds for their quick timer for the same class of cars (no fence in corners or back straightaways versus concrete and other style retaining walls excluded.)

Agreed 100%-Second to none-that fact is lost on a lot of people/fans.

yeah, size doesn't matter on tearing stuff up... Side wreck at Haubstadt two weeks ago was super violent, and I've seen some horrific accidents at Limaland too... both are tiny. I think the cushion at Knoxville causes havoc sometimes, but its neat to see whose ballsy enough to run above and skillful enough to hit it at top speed and work around the corner.
I wish Earl still did Eldora's track prep.
