Dover, Pace, Jordan Boston, Trevor Grossenbacher, Ryan Kitchen were the top 5. 28 sprinters tonight. A good start to the season.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Does it really matter, since they didn't get paid.!!!!!!!! Said it was too late. WTF Nice way to start out the year with a good car count and then screw the drivers and owners over.

Well sponsor, it was VERY late, it was cold, and it was a long night. EVERYONE wanted to get home including the drivers, owners and race teams. The only one complaining is you. I`m sure the money will be waiting when the teams arrive at the track next week. Eagle management has NEVER screwed anyone over that I know of and I doubt that it`s going to start now.

You expect people to drive over a 100 miles to get there and this happens, and expect everyone to show up next week, In 30 years of racing I have never heard of this outside of the crook that runs the (Not to be Named Series) EVERYONE , I didn't know they voted on it.

raced24, that sounds like the kind of response you would either get from a piss poor track owner (or promoter), or a government agency. I agree with sponsor 100%. It doesn't matter whether you do it for sport, hobby, business, etc, if there is money to be paid to a race team PAY IT THAT NIGHT. I didn't hand out an IOU when I got to the pit gate, and I didn't hand them an IOU when I went to draw. I'm not sure if anyone else ran the numbers but lets assume that each car in the pit area included 4 crew members. And I didn't get a good look at the stands but I heard rumblings that it may have been around 3500-4000 people. Get your handy dandy calculator out and take 720x$20, then draw up 3000 people in the stands (for the sake of argument). 3000x$10 a head, added to the admission for the pit area. I'd call that a successful night. In fact in my line of work, that's called a years salary. We haven't even got into all of the concession stand sales. Not to mention we are talking mostly about CASH MONEY. I could care less if the guy is clearing $10 or $1,000,000 a night. I will tell you this, I bet if I would have left that racetrack with his $325 transponder, he'd make sure he got his money.
Eagle Raceway, "SLACKER" INVESTMENTS, don't count on 180 cars per week if you continue to run your operation this way.

Nice to see that people care enough to go to the trouble to start a new account to cover their identity.
This was posted on our local message board a short time ago:
We are very sorry for the inconvenience... It was a very late night. I assure you that you will receive a check in the mail this week. I am going to print and send all checks by Tuesday!

When we ran the weekly track we always got paid the next week. Would rather have that then wait in line for an hour or two.
From a business owners perspective....How long would it take just to enter the information and print out 180 checks, wow. 180 cars in the pits? Really
Two people that bitch about a track they race at and talk crap about a facility that I have only ever heard positive things about. Maybe those two people should race somewhere else...or buy the place and impress everyone with their ability on how to properly run a race track.
If you don't get paid by the next race you have a bitch otherwise it just makes you sound like you have your period...take some Midol for a few days you'll feel better.

Pit Shack, I don't believe I am the person that you think I am. If I am than so be it. I'm not trying to cover my identity, this isn't about "ME". I refuse to buy into the fact that we were pressed for time and that's why nobody got paid. I understand it was late, but this isn't the first time Eagle Raceway has started a season with the we will mail you a check policy. If it's a money issue for the first week (which I refuse to believe) then advertise that the drivers and teams will be racing for a future check on opening night. Don't advertise all winter about how the purse at Eagle Raceway is going to be increased and it's all about car count. We met the car count, we made records for cars in the pits, and everyone goes home without a pay check. Was there an asterisk on the advertised purse that I didn't read? *Note: All drivers will be mailed a check sometime the week after Media Night at Eagle Raceway. I don't recall seeing that. I also didn't see a note that said if the races ran past midnight that payout would be delayed. It seems like general procedure to me that you would have checks printed before you come to the track. So if they intended on paying Saturday night, why would the checks still need to be printed?

Maybe they made so much money that they wanted to burn a little by purchasing stamps to mail everyone's check!

I have no supposition one way or the other as to your identity. If you do not recieve your check in the mail by Thursday I would call the office and inquire as to it's whereabouts. (402) 238-2595 is the office phone number.
As short a time ago as a couple of years ago (possibly last year) we were paying out the next week EVERY week, and as been stated, many tracks do this constantly.
I'm sorry that you and 1 or 2 others cannot appreciate the logistics of 180 cars in the pits, the late hour and many other circumstances. I assure you that you will get paid. Eagle Raceway and it's owners are fair and equitable, above all else.

Just curious - what if I only race at Eagle infrequently - say every third week. Would I have to wait three weeks to get paid?

On a normal night, with the normal car count and no big hiccups like we had Saturday night, you'd get paid directly after the racing. If you fail to pick up your check that night, they hold them for 1 week for you to pick up the next race; otherwise they mail it to the address on your W-9 form.

Why didn't you start printing checks out after the first b feature was done? Procrastinating until the end of the night apparently will piss some people off! It's not that hard to do one thing while another is going on...

Maybe you could take a few hours to show them how to multi task and get it right this week....
