Blake Feese former sprint car standout has been signed with Turner Motorsports to drive one of their trucks in the Camping World Truck Series. Blake's first race will be in Nashville on July 22, 2011. Good Luck Blake.

I like the kid. He is from a little town in Illinois that my StepFather's family is from and talking to him and his Dad at Knoxville, they knew the family and had their business right across the street from my Uncles. Saybrook, Illiniois. Guess you have to see the little town to appreciate it.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

This kid has some talent. I hope he does well. Always good to see a guy without a rich dad that came from sprinters get a chance.

My condolences
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Son, get back to sprint cars, you are truly gifted and undoubtedly have a future there. I think he once won a W of O feature at Charlotte running less than stellar stuff from some guy in Florida and the kid flew around Knoxville winning a couple times there if my fading memory serves me right. correct?? Take It Easy.....

Good to see and wish him the best but you wonder how much it cost to land the ride. Most of these seats are filled when you show up with a brief case full of bills..

Your memory hasn't faded too far! 3 wins at Knoxville, with two of them coming in '02. He also qualified for the B at Nationals in '02, but scratched. He either FUBAR'd his car in his qualifying night flip or hurt his wrist or leg or something (it was a hard hit) - can't remember which was the case. He also beat the All Stars at Eldora around the same time - which was impressive.

Good call. It was 2002....he was "punted" by Jason Meyers on his qualifying night. The car was beyond repair with a badly bent frame. Being a family operation it was their last one. Mind you he wrecked pretty bad a month before while leading a WoO feature with a few to go...concussion. This was his second.
Part of the car lives in my garage with my 1998 Lasoski side panel. Gotta say I still think Feese's car was one of the best I ever saw...something about the white with red & black....Bruce Jr. does that scheme well also.

I thought that was maybe the case (last frame for the family-owned car). He came back after the Nationals in the Beaver Tool & Drill 12x, which is what he won the season championship feature in. I agree with you... the 1F was a sharp-looking machine. I was thinking it was more of a redish purple color with the white and black - but either way, pretty solid scheme. Here is a pic that I believe Doug Johnson took.

If memory serves, Feese's three wins at Knoxville were in three different cars, the family 1F, the Dorn 1R, and the Vielhauer 12x. C'mon Eckert lets get that site rolling again...

That's a good call Bill W! The Dorn 1R I believe was his first win (another sharp car - black & white) ... then the win in the 1F... then the win in the 12x (due to an incapacitated 1F)

The kid was/is darn good and had a future as well, his Dad was well respected also. I think I remember arguing with his g-friend about whether leaving sprints for pavement was in his best interest, may have been right again, lol. Take It Easy....
