Thunder on the High Banks at LoneStar Speedway April 23

Kilgore TX (4/16/11) by
DarinShort.com. The Southern Thunder Sprints (STS) make their first LoneStar Speedway (LSS) appearance of the 2011 racing season on Saturday, April 23rd.

The last time the STS visited LSS it was a ½ mile track, and there was lots of great racing – plus some frightening crashes. This will be the first time the Series will be contested on the newly constructed 3/8 mile configuration.

A solid field of STS Sprint Cars will be on hand, and you can expect to see drivers such as Koty Adams, Josh Hawkins, Derek Weaver, Cody Robbins, Billy Page, Russell Enright and many more battle it out.

In addition to the STS Sprint Cars, all three LSS points divisions will be in competition.

A complete program of Modifieds will compete for $500 to win, Limited Modifieds will race for $400 to win and Factory Stocks will be gunning for $200 to win. The complete points division purses and rules are posted at the track website.

Here are some quick facts for the event:

-General Admission $10 (Ages 11 and up)
-Ages 10 and under FREE with Adult admission
