First of all let me say I am a huge AZ 360 sprint car fan! But I have a big concern. Right now we are getting about 28 ASCS sprint cars at Canyon in Phoenix and USA in Tuscon. For about 19 shows in 2011. Thats a pretty good bit of racing (especially after Manzy closed )under a proven organization. ( Thank-You Kevin Montgomery and Bengie Lyons) Thats 4 heats of 7 and a B main. A great show!!!! Better than alot of tracks across the country. Now we have a new ET motorsports park in Apachi Junction AZ thats gonna run 4 "open"sprint car show on May 7th. June 4th, June 18th and July 16th Is this gonna strengthen 360 sprint car racing in AZ or fracture the 28 cars into a lesser show that has already been established? I'll tell you my honest opinion. It's not gonna help .I say The AZ 360 sprint cars need to stick together with ASCS, Canyon and USA and leave ET Motorsports park for the motorcycles ,stock cars ,and mini sprint car crowd...... I may be wrong...but I doubt it.

ET is trying give another venue to race at in the valley, as long as the tracks don't compete and work together it could be a good thing. The 4 races mentioned are not scheduled against the ASCS, so how can it lessen the car count? I am for giving them a chance, let's support them and see how they do. Next year the ASCS could be running on 3 tracks. Could bring in new fans from that area, and the drivers having to adapt to 3 tracks instead of 2 would increase their skills as well. I wish them success and a good working relationship with Kevin and Benji to strengthen and grow racing in Arizona. And I may be wrong, I have been many times... but I hope not...
Mike

There are several cars
sitting in garages collecting dust.By
giving those cars someplace to race only strengthens the current market. They will have to buy fuel, tires, parts,
etc.Not to mention the racing
bug.Maybe pulling the car out of the
garage gets them motivated to race more.
I welcome the new track for
growing racing in general.

I think it's a good thing, and I'll be there May 7th to support their effort.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.
