That's easy with the weather forecast...Knoxville...
The racing we've had the first three weeks has outdone all of 2006 I.M.O. Whether it's the tires or some slight changes in the track, it's been great. We're looking at around 50 410s and around 35 360s...come on down!
If this post isn't results, stories or something c
constructive, it isn't me!

if you lived across the street from Beaver Dam, that would still be an easy choice, as Knoxville would only be a short few hours away.

I thought about this for at least as long as it took me to hit the reply button. KNOXVILLE!

If both were the same distance from my house, I would definitely be headed to Knoxville. A great weekly program plus add in the IRA cars and you should see some great racing. Also from what I'm hearing with the Lucas Oil Series racing for $25000 to win this weekend it sounds like Beaver Dam will be short on the car count. Very high quality cars but probably not a lot of them. Unless Lucas Oil rains out which is a possibility since the Friday portion of that program is already cancelled I think. But since I'm only 75 minutes from Beaver Dam that's where I'm goin to go. I just don't have enough free time this weekend to make it to Knoxville. If you have the extra time I would head to Knoxville. Have fun guys.

yeah, my preferred racing is 410 sprint car racing by a long shot. but i live in Oshkosh which is only 40 minutes away from Powerslam. also by going to Beaver Dam, i'll see professionals who are the best of the best. at Knoxville, although many good drivers, they aren't the best of the best. Travis Whitney was on 2006's top 25 sprint car list however.

You would also find Billy Alley and Brian Brown, both Knoxville regulars, on that 2006 top 25 list.

I don't buy the hype that the WoO LM's are the "best of the best". There are too many series and too many rules packages to declare the WoO LM's as supreme....they are just the ones that are willing to spend the most for the least in return.
A WDRL or a few other sanctions might lean me towards the fenders instead of the sprinters, but not WoO LM's. Their format isn't conducive to good entertainment IMHO.

Beaver Dam and door bangers is less than 2 hours from home, Knoxville and 410 & 360 Spritns is 5 hours away. No brainer, I'll be in Knoxville!

Both whenever possible. That's why I enjoy the Masters at Cedar Lake. IRA Sprints and WDRL Late Models on the same card. It don't get any better than that.
I know Justin Fegers and his family pretty well. Justin is the guy who won the Knoxville WDRL race a few weeks ago. On the other hand, I know Dustin Lindquist and Chuck Swenson from their Wissota racing days. What would you call that when you watch both types of racing, AC/DC?

The WOS sprint cars open up Wilmot Speedway Saturday. 20 minutes from home. Knoxville is 6 hours. I would go to Knoxville. It is worth the drive. Next week IRA will be at Wilmot and it will be worth the wait.
