Cody Morris, Oklahoma City, OK (4-2-2011) - Approximately 93 Lucas Oil American Small Car Series pilots took to I-44 Speedway clay in the finale of the 2011 Ryan Craighead Memorial. In an evening of racing action that was in stark contrast to its preliminary night predecessor, Chance Morton proved constant in sweeping Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted action, while Steven Shebester and Harli White took victory honors in Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing and Outlaw action, respectively.

Beginning and finishing nearly two hours earlier than its opening night predecessor, the 2011 Ryan Craighead Memorial finale would also witness what Mother Nature means in Oklahoma as a moisture laden racing surface throughout preliminary night action would be transformed into a dry slick racing surface for the duration of the 2011 Ryan Craighead Memorial finale.

Triumphant in the 2011 season opener at Cowtown Speedway, El Reno, Oklahoma's Kyle Keeler would set the pace for the 25 lap Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted main event. However, the advantage would prove to be temporary as Coweta, Oklahoma's Chance Morton would rocket from his 4th starting position to take the lead by lap 4.

Morton would reel off the final 21 laps virtually unopposed to sweep Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted action at the 2011 Ryan Craighead Memorial aboard the Napa Auto Parts, Morton Excavating, Momo's Racing Engines, and Intruder Chassis sponsored black no. 7m mount.

Kyle Keeler would maintain runner up honors with Chris Martin finishing in the show position. Austin Shores would take 4th after a couple of late race passes with Cord Dodson completing the top 5 finishing order.

Jason McDougal would top the 12 lap Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted B Feature event. Kyle Keeler, Dalton Sebor, and Dylan Fox took heat race honors over the 32 car field.

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma's preliminary night winner Scott Sawyer would lead the 30 lap Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw main event to the green flag, but a turn 3 mishap on the opening lap would end his hopes of a repeat performance along with the hopes of outside fron row starter Brandon Hahn.

Lindsay, Oklahoma's Harli White would advance to the pole position for the complete restart with Guthrie, Oklahoma native and 2010 Port City Raceway Outlaw and A Class champion Jake Rosario alongside. The opening lap incident would prove to be all Harli White needed.

White would go on to prove her 2011 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw opener win at Cowtown Speedway was no upset at all, blistering the field for all 30 laps and taking her 2nd Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw main event win of the season aboard her Momo's Racing Engines, Hyper Racing, Neighbors Coffee, Charlie's Trucking, Valken Rcing Wheels, and Tucker Construction sponsored no. 17w machine.

Rosario would fend off late race challenges to the runner up spot, with Norman, Oklahoma's Christopher Bell claiming the show position. Bixby, Oklahoma's Kevin Bayer and Sapulpa, Oklahoma's reigning 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw Champion would complete the top 5 running order.

Dillon Ake, Kevin Bayer, and Jake Rosario would top heat race action over the 25 car field, with Texas native Andy Hogan topping Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw B Feature action.

ASCS National Tour Director of Competition by way of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Matt Ward would draw the pole position for the 25 lap Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing main event.

Mustang, Oklahoma native Chris Cochran would take the lead just as Ward spun to a turn two stop. Surviving several mid race cautions, Cochran seemed headed toward victory lane. As the red flag flew for a Shelby Burke tumble in turn 2 with 5 circuits remaining, Cochran would pull to the infield with an expired powerplant.

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma native and current Tulsa, Oklahoma resident Steven Shebester would inherit the race lead and make the most of his luck. A winner in earlier A Class action, Shebester would go on to pull a stock 600 sweep and win his first Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing main event of the 2011 season aboard the Concept Chassis, Metric Cycles, Keiser Wheels, C&D Ditching, Shebester Carbs, and Gordon Seroes Racing Engines sponsored no. 82 machine.

Preliminary night winner and Oklahoma City native Trey Marcham would settle for runner up honors, with Longview, Texas native Tyson Hall claiming the show position. Harli White and Fort Worth, Texas' Kevin Ramey would complete the top 5 running order.

Andy Hogan, Shelby Burke, and Steven Shebester claimed heat race honors over the 36 car field, with Newcastle, Oklahoma's Gage Robb topping the 12 lap Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing B Feature event.

The Lucas Oil ASCS Restricted, Non Wing, and Outlaw divisions roar back to life on Saturday, April 30th at Mid America Speedway in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma following the 2011 season debut of the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midgets April 29th at Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas.

The Lucas Oil ASCS2 staff would like to thank I-44 Speedway for their excellent hosting of the 2011 Ryan Craighead Memorial and will look forward to slinging I-44 Speedway clay again on Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th.
