WRG Announces New Toddler Division in 2012...
April 1, 2011 - In an effort to nurture driver development and improve car counts, World Racing Group has announced the formation of a new support series for young racers wishing to run with the World of Outlaws sprint series next year. The new class will feature open 360ci motors and Goodyear tires. Booster seats and pillows will be made available free of charge at the tracks and a mandatory "nap time" will be enforced before each A-Main. All drivers must have mommy's permission to enter. Binkies will be allowed.

Maybe with that size driver it should be limited to 36ci engines ...

Will they have someone who has a clue about filming. Who doesnt pay attention to only wrecks. Who can give an interview out of the wind. Who can afford a simple 5 dollar wind screen for there mic.
I don't aim to please.
I aim to hit the target.

Dear 21wforacer,
First of all, "Nothing...wasn't untrue." is a double negative and means the opposite of what you probably intended. You obviously have some knowledge about audio/video technology and technique, and I always welcome feedback about our Dirt Dog TV videos. But folks might have more respect for your opinions if you did not sound like such a pissy "know it all". No one likes to be talked down to.
In my experience, there are basically two types of people in the world. "Thems that do... and thems that talk about it." We are interested in working with those that are actually out filming at the tracks, trying to bring value to our sport.
The ever decreasing costs of cameras and video editing equipment are resulting in more amateur and semi-pro, online video coverage of dirt track racing. In many ways, this is very good for our sport! Because there is inadequate coverage from major media, more online videos can attract new fans and generate loyalty and excitement with existing fans. Web videos are also a very powerful and inexpensive way to promote events, sponsors and individual drivers trying to build a career in racing.
Dirt Dog TV is a global team of independent content producers not a multimillion dollar "in house" network like SPEED, ESPN or FOX Sports. We are about to launch something entirely new to the Internet. Our patented technologies allow us to do things no one else can. The mission of DDTV is to teach tracks, teams, series and independent videographers how to inexpensively create "above average" videos and empower them to realize greater benefits than they could with current online distribution options (You Tube, Vimeo, etc.). Most tracks, teams, series and videographers do not have the budget or skills to create "broadcast quality" productions. Our goals is to work with anyone that can produce videos in a range from "above average" to broadcast quality and help them generate meaningful revenue from sponsor, ticket, DVD, product and merchandising sales. We will be issuing a press release shortly detailing more of the structure and specifics of the new network.
So, in summary.... lighten up dude! We are all doing the best we can with what we can afford and what we know how to do. Our production quality will improve over time.
Sincerely,
Joe McConnell CEO

What the hell is wrong with you? Were you abandoned as a baby and left to fend for yourself, or was there some other childhood trauma that left you so lacking in any kind of normal social interaction?
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

After tonight's circus at Calistoga, our little gag is not looking as silly! But everyone is entitled to an "off" night now and then...
