Great footage of a great driver and the sprint cars of that era. It was fun to watch the driver working the wheel, unlike today's cars where side panels hide so much of this. The footage brought back memories of some of the catchy names that were revered and embraced by fans at that time like Bubby, Poncho, Wolfie, Preacher, and Op'.

Great use of the Zeppelin song. Real nice video, definitely need to keep Oppermans memory alive with the younger generations.

This sent shivers down my spine.

I was fortunate enough to see Jan race on a weekly basis for several years at Knoxville. From the first time you ever saw him, you knew he was special.

Wow...........................Okay, I'll leave it like it is.

Surprised so many recognized the Zeppelin song. What I did was re-arrange a nice cover of Zep's "Rain Song".

Very nice video! Brian I'm 33 and even I knew that was the Rain Song. Been listening to Zeppelin intently for a good ten years. I don't know everyone single one of their songs but I know that one. Glad I gave up listening to country years ago for rock.

I'm 43 and didn't know what the Rain Song was!LOL

I'll be keeping the eye open for more good Zep stuff, have a few samples already. The trick is to not get a copyright notice when I put something on there. I've seen accounts shut down when someone pushes too far. Deosn't even seem like they give the person a notice either.

We're at 290+ videos for 'our kind' right now, and I'd hate to lose all that work.
