Couple observations from today:
First, Ricky Stenhouse Jr just assumed the Nascar Nationwide series points lead. Whether you like Nascar, tolerate it, or despise it, it's neat to see a short track dirt driver having success at that level of exposure.
Second, A XXX chassis just won it's 3rd of 4 total races at Lincoln Speedway tonight (with 3 different drivers - Congrats Brent Marks tonight). Not bad. Debate away

There is no debate. A good sprint car driver's talent being waisted in NASCAR's fake show and a Chinese car in victory lane at Lincoln Speedway are both a crying shame.
This will most likely be deleted anyways but I will continue.
This is a spiritual problem. The mighty dollar shouldn't rule our life. Just because Stenhouse is winning more cash doesn't make him a success. The same goes for the Triple X deal. The fact that the car is less money doesn't make up for the fact that its built by communists under government bondage.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

The mighty dollar shouldn't rule our life ???? Are you from mars ? Never in history has that not been the case. You might as well complain that it gets dark at night.

Since the purpose of this thread was debate; I'll pitch in.
I like that a dirt track racer is having some success in Nascar (it's very early in the season).
I'm not a Stenhouse fan. I saw him race several times and I don't know what it is that separated him from the rest in the career path of Nascar. Why him over Bryan Clauson? Cole Whitt? Kevin Swindell? Jason Johnson? Brady Bacon? Jason Meyers? etc.
Plenty of drivers did as well or better at comparable ages (yes, JJ is older. wasn't talking about him).
Memphis connection through Carl Edwards' teams I guess. Who knows. I sure don't.
XXX. I think the overused "Buy American" phrase should be changed to "Overpay for American Products" or "You must buy American otherwise you're a communist". Your choice.
If someone wants to pay less for a comparable chassis... go for it. I saw a LOT of XXX cars in the ASCS pits this Friday and no protesters outside. No one boycotted the drivers or races. The only people that care have the same intelligence as the people sitting in the stands telling me they saw Sammy Swindell on the track earlier & that were wrong on about 1/2 the cars they quoted the driver for. Same folks that said there were only 20 WoO teams right now and that the ASCS was faster anyway.
Yes, I moved seats. That was a beating!
You as a consumer buy products with an "American" company that outsourced materials and/or construction to a country NOT named the US of A. Racers do, too.
Get over it.
Move on.

A 35% corporate income tax rate is killing jobs and corporate growth in this country...move company to Ireland or Switzerland and pay a 10-15% corporate income tax rate...US has the highest corporate income tax rate of any civilized country in the world...yes I own a business and give the tax man around 50% of my money that I earn every year...

GE made 14.2 billion dollars last year and paid no federal taxes. Nothing! Sounds like you need some of GE's lobbyist.
I don't know if this changes the scope of the triple x debate, but there website claims that the frames are, "custom built to your specifications in Washington State by some of the best sprint car fabricators in the nation"!?!

...considering the top income tax rate is 35% followed by state 6%, local 1 1/2% and my kicking in of social security, 15% of the first $110,000...and the state gets 7% sales tax on all purchases and 10% of the phone bill is tax and 45 cents of every gallon of gas is tax...and on and on and on...I have one employee and will never hire any more because of workers compensation and unemployment taxes...now you have me depressed.
If everyone actually had to write the checks for the taxes we pay there would be more demand for efficient gov't!

My computer is made over seas. Lots of things I have are made over seas. That certainly doesn't make it a good thing though. Two wrongs will never make a right.
You say XXX is OK since it saves the racer money. Its helping destroy the local manufacturer/employer and our country but its OK? How low will we go? Will theft one day be acceptable if it keeps the racer at the track? No poor person will ever have an extremely fast race car anyways.
Also, if you are willing to work for 150 bucks a month and no bennys like the folks building the car then I might consider your opinion reasonable.

60 Minutes had an interesting report on this last night. You can watch it on You Tube I would think.
People complain about jobs moving overseas and you can listen as to why it's happening...
Ireland may be struggling like the rest of the world, but no denying how many American companies are locating their headquarters there to save corporate taxes...
GE may have paid no corporate taxes but their workers sure as hell did...they also are pouring miliions into Research and Development of alternative energy and of course they use the many loopholes their lobbyists have negotiated into an arcaic tax code...
Let's talk racing again, my bad!
