For anybody who has been around racing for a long time, this is a sad, sad day. However, you can still keep up online. That is where I have gotten it the last couple years.

What an amazing run they had. My business is bad enough (construction), but I would hate to be in the newspaper business. Glad they will still be on-line

I remember my dad getting NSSN when I was a kid. As a boy I was always so excited to get the mail on Thursdays which was the day it normally arrived in the mailbox. If it didn't show up on time I would be so disappointed. He still has a bunch of them from the 50's and 60's.When I finally moved out on my own I got the paper for quite a few years. Had to cancel a couple of years ago due to budgetary reasons. I guess I was a part of the problem by canceling my subscription. This is a sad day indeed.

Wow!
The demise of the print version of NSSN is almost like the death of a close friend. I've been a subscriber for about 50 years and have eagerly anticipated each week's delivery of the newspaper notwithstanding the maddening "snail mail" delays. The first thing I would read each week was Chris Economaki's column which has been a wealth of information.
I will definitely miss receiving the print version of the newspaper which my wife has always referred to as my "Speedy Sport News!"
RIP and thanks for the memories.
