The Tale of Two Racetracks...
Early in the afternoon, the track bakes in the heat, moisture being
leeched from the racing surface by the prevailing wind, tacky wet dirt
being ripped from the track and thrown against the wall by the rubber
of the hundred plus cars in hot laps. A slight rain wets the surface
before the unrelenting pace of heat races renders the racetrack a dry
barren wasteland sizzling in the summer sun. Heavy equipment ploughs
furrows through the rubber-laden surface ripping irrigation ditches and
peeling back the skin allowing the deluge of water to penetrate deeply
seeping into the soil. This is the tale of two racetracks… Continue story

I really enjoyed it. That opening paragraph really hooked me.
