A Grant King Briefcase Find. From An Email
Hi, I just picked up a hard case briefcase that was owned by Grant King. The case is full of vintage 70's and 80's photos 4"x6" to 10"x12" photos of Grant King working on race cars. Cars he built with the races and personal photos of him on the Indy track. Also there are pins and awards he received along with a lot of thank you letters from racers and owners there's even a small book of drawings of cars and graphics. There is even some stickers that were used on some race cars. I was thinking of selling them on Ebay but I don't know how important this case might be?
Any comments on this viewers?

Oh man. Please at least get a copy of every sticker, picture in there and well, the best you could do.
I weelly meen it- please.
I don't blame you for selling it on ebay, you've definitely earned my vote. But keep copies if you sell the originals .
An Idea--just throwing this out there
The Belleville or Knoxville Hall of Fame would be very likely interested in it. Don't know from a tax standpoint, but anythings possible.

I personally am not aware of a bad "photo angle" that CAN BE MADE in referance to a Grant King Champ Dirt Car. Like an Original Edmunds, I don't think it can be done.
Haven't seen it yet.

Contact Tom Schmeh at NSCHOF&M:

He has "in-house" ability to make quality photo copies.
He can also fix you up with the proper tax forms, I believe.
This sounds like a great find.

You have a gold mine. I would love to find something like that. Are there any photos of Jackie Howerton when he worked for Grant King building his Indy cars?

I'm at work right now and there are some sites I can't access. One of them is SBC Yahoo for my e-mail and The Weather Bug and my Weather Channel Desktop. I don't know why. I can understand YouTube, Facebook.
I will send him this link to this forum and he can read the different reponses. If he wants to he can chime in. I don't know he might already be a lurker here?
