Sit down. Standing during big moments is ok, like near the end of the Knoxville Nationals A-Main last year when EVERYBODY was standing, but for the vast majority of the evening please stay seated.

Sit Down!! It's nice when Tony (at Knoxville) reminds the fans to keep their seat.

Nothing more annoying than having people stand up at the beginning of the race. It's not NASCAR. Sit down and enjoy yourself, and be considerate of those around you!

At a sprint car race...you pay for the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge.
But by all means, you MUST sit down!!!

It's a little more complicated than simply sit down or stand up. If I can't see because the person in front of me is standing, then I am going to stand until they sit down. Yelling at them is pointless, because the two rows in front of them are standing and so on and so forth. I got in fight three years ago at the Knoxville Nationals over this very thing. The couple behind me kept screaming in my ear to sit down two laps into the A-main. I explained to them that i would sit as soon as the couple of rows in front of me did. Seems fair doesn't it? I paid to see the show, quit your bitchin, and watch the race until the crowd collectively decides to sit down. If you absolutely can't stand for any duration of time, sit down front where there are always lots of empty seats. But stop screaming in my ear, while I am watching the race.
I prefer to sit for the majority of the race, but I think it is cool when the whole crowd stands during moments like last years A-main at Knoxville. Even then, I wouldnt even think about standing up if everyone in front of me was sitting. That is rude. So is yelling at someone in front of you for standing when they cant see either.

This kind of thing Happens at the Williams Grove only when the NASCAR crowd shows up to see Kasey Kahne or Tony Stewart. It also happens with the Outlaw shows sometimes. They all stand to watch the stupid 4 wide parade lap, then never sit after the start. Then a wreck happens they sit down.....dumb asses. Any other week they fans sit at the start of a race and stay seated, but might stand when an accident happens. Race resumes everyone sits. Not when the WoO show. I paid to sit in a seat not stand in front of it the entire feature. If you want to stand thats what the infield is for.

I agree that you must sit down at a race, especially a sprint car show. In the heat of battle & excitement I think it's ok to stand, because usually it's reactionary, but people should try to be respectful of those around them & we all know that happens!!!! Although, in our case, most can't tell if we're standin' OR sittin' HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! (Oh, and why can the row in front of us be full of regular size folks, EXCEPT the 2 in front of us???!!!!!)

I'm usually the guy that gets sandwiched between two people that bought 18" of seat space, but need 36". If I stand up, my seat disappears!!

I like to stand, and often do, of course that is when and why I like the top row, so my standing does not bother anyone, if I am not on top then I am sitting down. when sitting during the race if a yellow or between race time I do stand much then

I can't recall a sprint car race that I couldn't see everything while sitting in my seat.
Any IRA teams looking for a crew member?

If you can't stay seated then move up to the top row or go back to watching NAPCAR.
So when the national anthem is done......Sit Down.

Seated. That is the only way to watch a race and be considerate of others. Wish everyone at the track agreed. When the folks in front of you stand it is as irritating as the fellow in the movie theatre gabbing away on his cell phone right next to you!
Never hit stationary objects!

Sit down. As a dad who has taken his son to the races for years, kids can't see over the idiot adults that insist on standing. I'll never forget one night Tony and Kasey were at Eldora and they were taken around the track in the back of pickups, they adults rushed the fence to get their once in a lifetime up close look at the NASCAR stars and totally blocked anyone behind them from seeing. If the NASCAR fans will sit and enjoy the races, welcome to the dirt track, otherwise please stay home.

I addressed this problem years ago. I go to the top row, then sit or stand whenever I want! If your not in the top row, THEN BE CONSIDERATE OF YOUR FELLOW RACE FAN AND SIT YOUR ASS DOWN!!! Nuff said..............
SUPPORT WILDLIFE, go to a sprint car race!
