Looks like Lance learned a few things on the road these last few weeks. Kudos to him for doing some travelling, I am glad to see it paid off with a 2nd and 1st this weekend.

Sounds like it was a pretty good show on Sunday. How did the track hold up?

I'd say the main groove wasn't even 1/3 of the way up the track however in the feature the guys that were faster than Dewease were running above the cushion. The track crew did an excellent job with Erdley recording the fastest lap ever recorded at the fastest half mile in the east at 15.798 seconds in hotlaps.
Good racing!

According to the mylaps website Heimbach ran the fastest lap of the day with a 15.53 @ 122.719 MPH. in his heat race. And that track is a REAL 1/2 mile track. Those "other" 1/2 mile tracks that boast 12 and 13 second lap times at 140+ mph is a joke.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that this "open tire event" was won by a car on Goodyear's.

Great to hear. We need more of this kind of thing. Dry slick tracks are killing us.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

It doesn't fit into most people's Goodyear bashing narrative.

They were FLYIN' around the Big Half Mile!! You won't be pullin any sub 16's in a corn field! The track had to be wet to the core with all the snow and rain during the week. Even when dry and slick...Selinsgrove is faster than most!!

And only 1 of about 3 that chose to put a new one on for the feature.
I lost a bet when Rahmer pushed off with Goodyears on the car...go figure!

Lance started on the pole , Goodyears are good when in front , not to good when they have to run hard on them , there running a new harder compound don't know what Lance was using ? Sunday . They have a new tire with a harder sidewall , so I understand from the WoO officials . They also seem to work well coming from behind , if they run hard on them upfront they seem to cause a driver to fade to back of the pack , just look at some of the past WoO races
Not bashing , it seems to be the truth from the results so far this year
But I am glad Lance won , it is good to see alot of different winners , spread the money around , it 's good for racing

Ok, so they're good out front...and they're good for coming from behind? I'm not sure what other tricks there are?
