OK was in Vegas for both nights and on Thursday when Haud blew the motor in the heat race , I was in the pits when Brad Sweet and Roth were talking to Kasey on the phone about getting a motor from the 83 roth/kahne motorsports car to use in the 83sr... But overheard them say that Kasey didn't think it was a good idea. So Haud had to sit out the rest of the events instead of changing motors... I am a huge Kahne fan just not sure how I feel about this one. Probably wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't been there.. Don't think Mr Roth was too impressed with the answer either...

Im sure he had his reasons but when your driver is doing that well, you need to give him another engine! Could have been a kkr sweep. When you got millions and millions whats 60g's, its like speending 100 dollar bill! I dont understand this either. Hope they got more motors/cars when they come to Cali

I am not taking any side hear!! But why would Haud/ Roth leave Cal. to race in LV with out a spare!! Why didn't Roth go get one from the third car he had there!!! Seems to me if you have enough money to field three cars, you would have spare motors sitting around!!!! Just saying

as far as i know the cars that came from cali had one motor each available at the time. also as far as i know the 83jr had left the track, so that means the 83sr had just the motor that was in the car. i also heard the 83jr might have had a motor problem after the crash. don't know if that is correct. seems that roth tried to get a motor from the 83 team that he shares (or what ever the deal is) with kasey. if kasey is supplying the motors for that team, maybe they only had a certain number of motors available to the team for this swing and they didn't want to take a chance on hurting one of paulies spares. who really knows. i do know that roth took the equipment that he had for TK and shared it with jac to give him a ride for the cali swing, and you have to give him credit for that. seems roth was responsible for putting three drivers in cars and doing the best they could with what they had available to them. does anyone really think they didn't do the best they could to provide for the teams? sometimes no matter who you are or what you do, things just don't go your way. let's hope for better luck for them.

Regardless of the millions he has, it still is like a business deal. If he had given up Paulies spare motor and Paulie blew one the next time out, it would be a BAD DEAL. Roth should have had a spare in the trailer just in case. JMO

I agree with ya on that, but dont most WOO teams carry 3 motors usually (1 in primary, 1 in backup, and 1 in trailer). If so they could have borrowed one and ship one more out west. Thats where I was going with the money thing. But if they only had two motors I would agree.

my understanding is they had motors on order that evidently were just not ready. it seems the cali team had a motor that jac could use and they were able to get a new one for tim. it looks to me like they did what they could and went with what they had, and made it to the track with both cali teams. just too bad that tim tore up a car bad enough that the team was worried about the motor in it and then jac lost a motor. i don't know a lot about what goes on over there in regards to the team. all i know is they worked hard to get to vegas and did what they could to be able to make it there. like i said before, sometimes no matter what you do, things just don't work out the way you planned. does anyone really think that dennis or todd or tim or jac or bonz or anyone else over there didn't do everything they could? instead of saying "crap we can't get everything we want, just the way we want it, so we better stay home", it seems they hauled what they had to the track and raced. isn't that what most of us would have done?

sounds like a good way to go through alot of money is put a team together and have Haud and TK as your drivers. they are both fun to watch, but history shows they are not easy on equiptment. jmo

Haha, same old story same old song and dance. I'd be looking for the Roth cars to be up front the next couple of weeks. Jac is just having some rotten ass luck this year. He had a good run going at the Chili Bowl (his first since 97) and his car broke in the main on Sat. Prove 'em all wrong TK and Haud!

Easy for couch or computer potatoes to question the reasoning of someone like Mr. Roth or anyone else who races. I suggest get your own team or even 3 teams and show us how much better you can do it... Bring 9 motors for 3 cars and some spare cars and show em..................

You don't know much do you? TK didn't wreck himself out, Dewease clipped the giant tractor tire and went right into his path. I bet your favourite driver would have avoided Dewease though right? LOL
Cheers!
